Archer sighed. He could sense that there was something wrong, especially since he had arrived. "You know, I think I should go to...I didn't mean to cause any trouble."
"Archer?" Hermes looked at his human curiously. "Hey, Archer! Get back here!" Hermes called out as Archer got up and started to leave.

Outside, he spotted Mica and Caleb together and now he knew that he was the source of the problem. Acting coolly, he gave them a simple wave. "I gotta go, I got work." was the excuse that he used countless times to escape from a place he didn't want to be in.
"Hey Archer, come on! Do you even know how to get back?" Hermes glided above him as they hiked down the path. I rather wander then face those guys. Did you see how the chick looked at me? She has the same eyes like everyone else does....disappointed and annoyance. This was a mistake Hermes.
No it isn't! You just need to get to know them better. I mean, we practically all shut you all together in the same room; you guys just met and are bound to have differences.
Archer continued to walk.
When are you gonna stop running from your problems? Hermes called after him.
Archer stopped dead in his tracks. "What is that suppose to mean?" He glared at the bird, who swooped and landed on a tree branch.
"You know exactly what I mean."
The two stared and glared each other down.

Mica looked at Caleb. “It’s not just that. I can see truth in people’s words. When they speak I can see the truth in their heart and soul. I cannot read him. It’s like there is a wall blocking me. I have never experienced this before. There has never been any I couldn’t read. When I touched him I felt…” she trailed off her words. “Never mind. That is not mine to tell. You are right Caleb. I will follow you back in.” Mica turned and saw Jason leaving. She waved softly and went back into the cave.

Finally Caleb and Mica returned to the cave right after Archer and Hermes left. "I don't know whats going on, we need to bond not break away from eachother". "we won't accomplish anything like this, we need to get archer back". "What do we do?" Salou asked

Mica heard Doug and Salgou's words. This was all her fault. She rose again. "I'll go after him." She left the cave again. She tracked Jason as she thought of what she would say to him. Finally reaching him she called out. "Jason!" He did not pay attention to her. She yelled louder. "Archer! I need to talk with you. Please."

[Caleb]

"He'll be back." Tzuna said simply. "Well then, back to the task at hand. I know we all have stories to share, so who wants to go first?" Caleb asked.

Fuming at Hermes for invading his thoughts, he hadn't heard Mica until she shouted at him. Prying his eyes from Hermes he spotted Mica not far off. Oh great, what does she want?
I'm telling you, if you don't want people to judge you, dont judge others. Hear what she's got to say.
Fine.

"All right." He yelled back at her, not making an attempt to move. If she wants to talk, then she got's to walk.
Who taught you that stupid rhyme? Hermes scolded. You're the guy. Get over there! Hermes flew over to where Mica was and waited for Archer to catch up.

Clicking his tongue, Archer resigned and headed over. "What is it?" He asked.

Jen quietly sat to the side as everyone except Doug left. Tyerra followed her.
What's wrong, Jen? she asked, nuzzling the side of her face.
Nothing, she replied, I'm just not used to meeting this many new people, that's all.
I'm sorry I put you in this position, Jen, but we needed all of you to meet. They stopped talking and Caleb and Mica returned. Mica left soon after to go look for Archer again. Jen looked from Caleb to Doug, still feeling a little out of place. She just sat quietly and listened.

Mica watched as Archer reluctantly walked toward her. She continued walking to meet him. “Archer…Jason, I am sorry for my behavior. I did not mean to offend you, it’s just that…” she wasn’t sure how to continue without upsetting him. While she could see truth and feel emotions, she could not hear thoughts but those that knew of her gifts always jumped to the conclusion that she could.

She bit her lower lip as she looked down at her feet. She kicked lightly at the dirt, raising a small dust cloud. “I can usually read people. Feel their intent and emotions.” She watched him closely for his reaction. Would he be angry? “Here it goes. Straightforward. We need to trust each other but… I cannot read you. I cannot sense your true intent and it is unnerving. When I brushed past you in the cave I felt great sorrow but only briefly.” She looked at him, waiting for his reaction before she tried to talk to him further.

Archer watched as Mica seemed to struggle with her words. "Call me Archer; I respond to it better." He didn't elaborate that the only people who called him Jason died long ago. He continued to watch with curiosity on what Mica's explanation would be and when he did hear it, a mixture of emotions flooded through him. Anger was on the top of the list.

Easy, boy. She's just being honest.

Archer breathed out, unsure of what to say. "It looks like you're not the only one who invades people's feelings..." He mumbled and glared at Hermes.
Archer...please, try to be nice.
"Sorry, that was out of line. I can see why you get the vibe you do." He smirked at his attempt to be honest...well...just a little. "Look, since you're being straight with me, I'm gonna be straight with you. This isn't what I want. I mean, I'm dreaming and the next thing I know, I'm being dragged into another world. This is all new to me, I don't know how to react...I mean, what's the normal reaction to this? you know?" He glanced around, unnerved. "My emotions are just all over the place right now, okay? I know you want to trust me, and I want that too, but, this is all overwhelming, I just...I just...need some time to adjust, that's all." He tried to explain his partial feelings; he didn't want to get into his parents-3 shrinks tried and he ain't letting no one else in.

[Caleb]

"Jen, where are you from?" Caleb asked, breaking the silence between them. He looked at the girl and found himself thinking of how pretty she was and how he was begining to want to get to know her more and more.

Mica looked at him. She could see his anger. “It’s okay. I understand how you feel. It’s a lot to take in. You’re reaction is totally normal.” She smiled softly as she reached out to gently take his hand. “Please come back inside. I promise not to try to read you again. Trust is something we will build slowly.” Her eyes softened as she looked at him. “I am really sorry.”

Jen was surprised at being asked a question and it took her a minute to find her voice.
"Uh, no-nowhere, really. I was born in Tennesee, but now I live in New Jersey." She smiled at Caleb, glad he wanted to talk, but also feeling incredibly shy at the moment. Tyerra nudged her a little.
You really need to get over that shyness, girl, the tiger told her. Jen looked at her, then back at Caleb. She nervously played with her black and white hair for a minute before she summonded the courage to ask, "And what about you?"

Doug and Salgou were getting a bit annoyed with the silence when finally Caleb broke it asking Jen where she was from. Doug said to Jen "High again my name is Doug and this is Salgou, it s a pleasure to meet you. I figure we need to get to know each other since we are the only ones in the room, and how about yourself Caleb? We all need to know more about each other. I myself have been alone since I was 16 until Salgou came along. "Jen you seem a tad bit shy around all of us, we have to fix that I don't want you being shy around me, because I sure as heck won't be shy around you!" Doug said with great amusement.

Jen gave a shy laugh as Doug talked to her. Tyerra gave a kind of growl that was her way of laughing.
"That's what I keep telling her," she said. Jen gave her a small glare but didn't say anything.
"I'm sorry," she told Doug and Caleb, "I'm just not used to meeting new people, I guess."

Archer made a nervous laugh. "Define normal." As Mica went to take his hand, Archer instinctively pulled back; he didn't really mean to be offensive. "Sorry, I don't like being touched much..." He made a nervous smile and scratched his head. "But yeah, if you don't read me, I think the trust issue won't be a problem..." He glanced behind him in the direction away from the cave.

There's nothing there but broken memories, Arch, why don't you try making new ones here?
Memories are the things keeping me alive. He responded back briskly.

"Yeah, I'll go back. I guess we need to figure this all out." He placed his hands in his pockets, waiting for Mica to lead the way.
