The next day Salgou appeared to Doug uncalled and Doug was so happy to see him but asked "I thought you only could come when called". Salgou said humorously "Well I'm happy to see you too!". Doug said "Thats not what I meant at all salgou, thats just what you told me". Salgou said "I know Doug, I have been granted special permission to come to you and stay with you, there is something that I must show you before we go any further in our training". At that a golden portal opened and Salgou proceeded to step inside. "Come on Doug, it's safe, trust me". I began to step very slowly until I was sucked into a new world or dimension. It was so beatuful. I followed Salgou to a giant cave where we proceeded to walk in and there I was greeted by many spirits and their partners". Salgou said with great enthusaism "This my dear friend, is the side of good".

Mica looked at the man and his spirit animal, a cougar, as he entered. She nodded her head slightly in welcome. Her long, black hair and blue eyes were as striking as those of her spirit animal, a great black panther which sat next to her. "Welcome traveler. I am Mica and this is Kyra." She gestured to the others, "Jen is the girl with the magnificent tiger, Tyerra. The man is Caleb and his spirit guide Tzuna.” She motioned to the man sitting beside the wolf. “Evidently, we are all among friends here.” She looked to the others as a smile softly crossed her lips. Absently, she stroked Kyra’s fur as the giant panther purred contentedly.

"Hi all" Doug and Salgou seemed to say almost simultaneously. "It is certainly a pleasure to meet you all". Doug and Salgou walked in and took a seat in the far corner. Doug was still confused as to what he was supposed to do, he was waiting for someone to explain to him what was going on exactly.

"Ok, well since I'm the most informed, I think, I'll try to explain what's going on." Caleb said. He wasn't trying to be bossy, but he noticed the looks on the other peoples faces so he thought he needed to take charge. He explained all that he knew, and where he faltered Tzuna picked up. "Ok, so first things first. What are we doing here and who are we fighting." he finished. He looked at all the people in the circle, but his eyes seemed to linger on the shy little girl with the tiger, Jen.

Doug listened contently as Caleb, who seemed to be the boss or was just taking charge of the situation, attempted to explain what was going on to everyone...he was trying to listen to him but his mind kept wondering off thinking about how in the world all this happend. "Quit wondering Doug, you can't afford to miss any of this", Salgou telepathically spoke to Doug. "I'm sorry Salgou", Doug said as she shook out of it and paid attention. "Stop thinking about other things and pay attention!" Salgou seemed to roar very loudly in my head. He listened to everything else Caleb had to say but was still so very confused..

"Ok so does anyone have any questions?" Caleb asked. He wanted to get Jen alone and get to know her better, he didn't like people being shy around him and he wanted to learn more about her in general.

Doug replied in soft whisper that he didn't think anyone could hear "Yea I got one, what the heck are we supposed to do about this? I'm so young what good can I do?" Salgou nudged Doug rough in the shoulder. "What type of nonsense are you speaking, I've only been with you a few short days and all ready I believe you can take on anythig!! Get those thoughts out of your head" Salgou said. "Your right Salgou, ok I understand that we must fight Caleb, but how do we go about accomplishing anything?"

Jen smiled a little and shook her head. She didn't feel like saying much to the others, but listened to Caleb carefully. Tyerra sat down gracefully beside where she stood, their heads the exact same height. Jen noticed Caleb looking at her from time to time. She smiled back at him. He seemed nice, and she really wouldn't mind becoming friends with him.

"As to what we do Doug, I have no clue. I have a question of my own though, why did you pick us?" he adressed Tzuna, and all the other animals. The wolf looked into his eyes and it unerved him somewhat, the power behind those eyes. "We never really picked you. All humans are born with an animal spirit, you just showed it more than others." she said simply. It was to early to tell them the whole truth yet, and all the animals agreed when she asked them mentally.

Screaming, Archer was pulled through the rift between his world and the spirit world by Hermes.
"What the hell?!" He screamed as he landed on the ground, and his glasses slid to the brim of his nose. "What is this? Where am I?!" He demanded as he glanced around him from the floor. Then the dream came to mind and he quickly began checking his body for the bird that charged at him. Finding nothing, he breathed out of relief, but then reached behind his neck and felt the strange mark. "What is this?" He repeated.
"Welcome, Archer." A brownish falcon flew near his head and then perched itself on a lower tree branch.
"Whoa!!" Archer reared back on his hands until his back was against a large boulder. "What the hell are you?!"
"Well, isn't it obvious? I am a falcon." It tilted its head sideways so it could watch Archer with one of his large eyes.
"How can I understand you!? This isn't real!? Wake up, Archer, wake up!" He closed his eyes and hoped that he would awake in his bed.
"You accepted the call to find me. Do you not recall it. I am your friend, not your enemy and you and I are more similar than you think." The falcon flew down and landed on the rock opposite of Archer.
"I don't believe it. This is a dream. You ain't real...this place isn't real...OW!" Archer opened his eyes wide and pulled his finger to his chest. "What the hell was that for?"
"Watch your language." Hermes screeched. "I did that, so you know that this is very real."
Archer glanced down at his bloody finger. "What's happening to me?"
"If you would pipe down, I can explain." Hermes tilted his head again. "There is a battle raging in my world and now, the war, is seeping into yours. I am your beast spirit, a part that you have ignored until now. We are connected in every aspect; I know your story, just like you know of mine."
"I know nothing about you, you crazy bird!" Archer yelled, nursing his finger.
Hermes rolled his eyes. "That is because you refuse to acknowledge your true self, thereby dis acknowledging me." The wise bird responded sternly. "I know of your pain, and your heart, Jason."
Archer stared at the bird in silence, taking in his words. "You know nothing about me." He said at last.
Hermes sighed. "You are one stubborn human." He rolled his eyes. "Well, I can't say I'm surprised, although, I thought you would put up less of a fight. Come on. Follow me." He flapped his wings and rose into the air.
"Where are we going?" Archer asked, after rethinking his situation; it was best to stick with the bird, maybe he could convince it to take him home.
"If you will not heed my words, it is best to show you what you're dealing with." Hermes screeched and glided in the air so Archer could follow.
Climbing and hiking seemed to occupy the hours as Archer followed Hermes. After some time, Archer emerged into a clearing and gaped at what he saw. "What happened here?" Archer stared out at a desolate plateau. "War." Hermes murmured. "You see, Archer, this is what lies in the future of both our worlds." "But what does this have to do with me?" "Everything. You are now a spirit walker, a being who has the gift to see both worlds. We here, need your help, as well as others like you." "There are more like me?" He asked, curious. "Yes. Even as we speak, there are few that have accepted the Shaman's call to arms. Unfortunately, for the both of us, we have yet to decide which side to choose." "What do you mean?" He asked, confused Hermes sighed and Archer could even feel a smile emerge on his beak. "We are both wanderers who have great difficulty in deciding what we want. Your heart is torn, like mine. We have seen the tragedies that can come upon us and it has caused us much grief, and so, we have a duality within us, that makes us liable to go either way." Confused, Archer asked:"What way?" "The path of good or the path of evil." Hermes replied and they stared into eachother's dark eyes.

Doug wondered curiously at the question that caleb asked "Why did they pick us? Why did Salgou pick me?". I had forgotten that Salgou can hear everything I think and in response he said in my head "I don't know why I picked you Doug, all I know is that a special bond of the likes that we only have has been created between us, and that cannot be take away". "Your right salgou, I feel the same bond and I shoudn't question it". Doug said, and aloudly to everyone Doug said "You know, it doesn't matter how we came together, it's destiny and we are meant to be. We have a job to do."

Doug, as well as everyone else in the room listened with ears wide open to hear what our animal spirits had to say. Salgou said "I am as lost as you all are, I know that I must fight against these evil beings, what I don't know is how to go about doing it, we need to seek out someone who can teach us and would know what to do".

"So what are you saying? I'm evil?" Archer scoffed. "You and every teacher I've had since the 8th grade has said that at one time or another." Hermes groaned. "No. I'm saying we'll just have to decide what we want. Although, I am biased: I would rather save our worlds, rather than see it destroyed. Don't you agree?" "I guess so..." "But?" Hermes sensed his hesitation. "But what kind of world allows pain and suffering? Wouldn't it be better just to wipe it all out and start over?" Archer kicked the dust between his feet. "Without pain and suffering, how can we know joy and happiness, Archer? And just by starting over, we're not dealing with the problems, rather we are just sweeping it away until it comes back and haunts us." "Sounds like you've already made your decision." He scoffed.. "It appears so, doesn't it?" Hermes laughed. "Well I guess so, but you are still apart of me. Do you wish to help? or stand by?" "I don't know." He replied honestly. "This is all new to me and frankly, I'm content with my life." "Are you?" Hermes eyed him carefully. Archer didn't respond to that, instead he stared out at the dead plateau. "I'll help you, but I don't guarantee anything." "From you, that's a lot. Thank you." Jason shrugged. "Sure. Now what?" "Now, you learn." Hermes chuckled and swooped away. "Hey! Wait!" Archer called after him, almost tumbling over his own feet. He almost fell, but caught himself, but the glasses he was wearing fell off into the side of the cliff. Archer cursed. "I can't see without my glasses!" He heard Hermes laugh. "This isn't funny..." "Open your eyes, you fool." Hermes laughed. Craning his eyelids open, Archer found that his vision had improved tremendously. "What's happening?" He asked. "We're beginning to bond...soon...you'll share many of my talents." The bird didn't elaborate but continued to fly away. "Wow. This is great!' He cried out and hurried after Hermes, who lead him to a cave. "Where are we?" He asked. Hermes smirked. "There are some other animal spirits that I want you to meet. I believe they've already bonded with their humans." They drew closer towards the cave.

OOC: AH! Max! You’re killing me. That guy is my favorite on TV. I could watch him for days!!!!! Lol
Mica looked intently at the new man entering their circle. Her words left her mind as she studied him intently. There was something about him. He seemed out of place with the others. There was a darkness to him and his eyes were hard for her to read. She had never met anyone she couldn’t read before. It was one of the first things she had learned from her mother growing up in New Orleans. She smiled slightly as she watched him closely. She returned her attention to the others. “I don’t know how to proceed but I can tell you that the threat already exists in our world. I have sensed others around me before I bonded with Kyra. I have felt their evil and seen it within their eyes.” She gripped the handle of her knife tightly as she spoke. She thought back to those she had run across, not knowing at the time what they were, only knowing the threat they posed to her before she killed them. The Louisiana swamplands was the perfect place to dispose of that which you didn’t want found.
