Sometimes it seems like it happened to someone else--like maybe it was a story I heard.

OOC: its not my fault he's hot! lol. yeah...i wouldnt mind watching him. lol. i got into him on Dark Angel. He's pretty funny on that.
Hermes swooped inside the cave and was followed by Archer shortly after. Landing on a high rock, Hermes ushered a hesitant Archer.
"Come on in. They won't bite...or at least...I don't think so." He eyed the large cats carefully.
Easy for you to say..your higher up.
They can jump you know...
Archer froze. You can hear my thoughts?!
Hermes chuckled. Yes, but only for a certain amount of distance. After that, I think we may be able to feel each other, but not really contact each other...I think...haven't really tried it fully...eh
That's comforting. Archer walked inside further.
"Hello, all. I like you to meet Archer." Hermes introduced.
Archer gave a weary smile as he chose to lean against on one of the walls to the cave and near the exit...just in case those large animals thought to eat him.

Tyerra looked back and saw Hermes with another human.
"Hello, Hermes," she said, then noticed how hesitant his human seemed. "Yes, I promise I won't bite you. I'm not that way. Well, our party just seems to be getting bigger and bigger." She looked at Jen, who was looking shyly at everyone else, especially at Caleb.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Bring your partner in here and introduce us!"

Hermes chirped at Tyerra. "Hello Tyerra, it's been awhile hasn't it?" His voice was polite but it hid the true reason for his absence; he had placed himself in exile after losing his mate in one of the battles long ago, and left to isolate himself. It was until he heard the Shaman's voice and Archer's soul call to him, that he felt obligated to return.
Tyerra's words didn't comfort him much, for he was staring at her sharp teeth.
"Well, come on in Archer, don't be shy!" Hermes encouraged and after a moment of debate with his reasonable self, Archer walked further inside the cave. He gulped as he took a seat next to the big white tiger. "Uh, Hi." He said to everyone, but his eyes darted from all of them, as he felt awkward to be around them.
"Okay, Archer, the white tiger beside you is Tyerra, the black panther is Kyra, the wolf is named Tzuna, and finally the cougar that calls himself Salgou."
Archer pressed his lips together, trying to memorize the names and pronoucniation for each; the last thing he wanted to do was to offend them and get snapped at...literally...
"Everyone, say hi to Jason Archer, known best as Archer." Hermes chirped.

Tyerra gave a friendly growl to Archer, then stood and slowly approached him. Seeing his nervousness and fear, she decided to play with him a little. She drew back as if she were about to pounce, then lept up and placed her paws on his shoulders and licked his face.
"Please to meet you, Archer," she said. She whisked around and walked back to Jen. "This is Jennifer. Get over your shyness and say hi, Jen," the white tiger ordered the girl. Jen swallowed a little.
"Hi, Mr. Archer," she said politely.

Mica watched Jason intently. Something was wrong. She couldn’t read him and this made her uneasy. The others had been easy. She saw the truth and conviction in their words immediately. Jason was hiding something. “I have to go.” She said as she rose quickly and walked from the cave, brushing against Jason lightly as she passed. Kyra followed closely on her heels. Once outside, she leaned against the cool stone. “What is it Mica?” Kyra asked as she faced her. “I don’t know.” Mica responded. “I just had to get out of there.” She lied to Kyra. Kyra looked at her, her eyes narrowed. She knew Mica was lying but did not press her.

Archer nearly jumped from his skin when Tyerra pulled her joke. His eyes were wide and he didn't know it, but his hand went instinctively to his pocket, where his switchblade was. Noticing his hand, after that little stunt of hers, he quickly placed it on his lap. "Hey." He raised a hand in greeting. "It's just Archer...I'm not that old yet..." He made a small nervous chuckle.
Archer's chuckle vanished when the girl with Kyra got up suddenly and walked out. He felt her brush by, and then looked at the larger panther as she too left. "Did I do something wrong?" He asked.
Hermes watched Kyra's human closely with intrigue; assuming that there was more than meets the eye with her.

Mica looked softly at Kyra. "Go back inside. I'm going to stay out here. I need to think for a while." Kyra nodded and padded back into the cave with the others. "Forgive Mica. She...has alot on her mind."
Mica walked slowly to a nearby ledge and sat upon it letting her feet hang over the valled below. She looked out over the horizon as she lost herself in thought. She felt alone despite all of her new comrades. Her mind recalled happier times before she felt the evil around her. Her soul secretly wishing she could return to those times but knowing it was impossible.

Salgou and Doug both said a friendly hello to Hermes and Archer, they were pleased to see others joining the cause, but Archer seemed very uneasy about some of the animals, it was strange. Salgou couldn't help but chuckle loudly when Tyerra played that little trick on Archer. It was so funny! Something wasn't right though, Mica seemed very uneasy and all of a sudden she got up with Kyra and left the cave. "Whats wrong with her?" Salgou and Doug thought simultaneously. After a few brief moments of utter silence Salgou said "Well.........it sure is good to see more join our cause....isn't it?" Salgou said this in an attempt to lighten the mood.

Archer simply nodded; he couldn't just say no to a big cat, now could he? "It's cool." Archer responded. "I hope she's all right." He replied automatically, unused to being polite to people besides his friends, Archer grew more uncomfortable.
After an eerie silence, Salgou broke the mold and Archer could see that he was trying to get the mood brighter. "Uh, yeah,..." He nodded again, trying to get rid of the awkwardness that everyone seemed to be emulating.
"Have you tried explaining to the humans about our little predicament?" Hermes glanced at all the animals.

Salgou replied "I've explained what I know, but the means of going about accompliching these things is beyond me, we must seek someone out who has great knowledge and who can help us get off our butts".

"Welcome Archer and Hermes." Caleb said. He reached out to grip the new man's hand. He knew as well as Mica did that this man wasn't entirely to be trusted, not yet anyway. "Tzuna, what do you make of that?" he asked as Mica and Kyra walked out. Kyra came back in "What was that about Kyra?" Caleb asked mentally.

Kyra touched Caleb's mind. 'She lies to me. I know she does not trust the new man. She cannot read him. She brushed him when she passed him but will not reveal what she learned from that brief contact. Someone should try to reach her. She is used to carrying this fight alone. Her people have fought this evil with us in ancient times. The memories of her ancestors flow through her blood but she does not understand yet.' Kyra went to lie next to Tzuna.

Salgou said to himself where Doug could here him "Something is not right, I just feel as if something in this room is being hidden, and we cannot hide anything from eachother. We need to figure out what is going on. Salgou attempted to reach Kyras mind "Kyra can you hear me? What is going on? I know something has not been right since this new man and his animal entered the room."

"Thanks." Archer reached out and shook the guy's hand. "Sorry, I didn't catch either of your names, except for Jennifer."
Archer listened to Salgou speak. "Why can't we get this shaman guy to tell us? I mean, wasn't he the one who got us all together?" Even if he used my dreams to get me to do it...Archer thought.
Archer...Hermes cautioned.
Archer sighed, not really liking the idea that his thoughts were no longer personal. He wondered if he could attempt blocking Hermes...
Just go and try...Hermes challenged.

"I'm Caleb and this is Doug. The girl who walked out was Mica. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be right back." he said. He followed the same route Mica had taken to follow her out. "Mica, what's wrong. I know you don't trust him, and I don't either, but we need allies, not enemies right now." he said.
