OOC: actually, he's a vampire bat, so he's pretty big. lol. By the way, are you waiting for Caleb outside? Veronica felt some buzzing in her mind, but tried to ignore it. She was waiting to see if the guy wanted anything else. She glanced at the clock. Seventeen minutes until her shift ended. Then she could go home and fall into the sweet relief of her bed. VERONICA!!!!! Basilius' voice rang in her mind, causing her to wince a little. Yes, Bas. What? she asked him irritablly. There's a man with a horse out here, and they've spotted me. They probably know I'm a spirit animal at this point. If they haven't left by the time your shift ends, I'll meet you back at the apartment. Fine, whatever, she told him. Another glace. Sixteen minutes.

OOC: sorry. lol. i didn't know he was a vampire bat. lol. and yes, i am waiting for Caleb.
Bruce kept the bat marked in his mind, returning his eyes to the area around him, waiting for the man to come out and meet him. Bruce leaned back against the wall, willing to wait all day if he had to.

Caleb slowly got up and went outside, finding the man. "Follow us." he said. Caleb led Jen and the stranger to an exit that would take them outside and make sure they weren't over heard. Caleb looked at the surronding before he walked out and swore that there was a bat and he thought he smelled a cat, but decided to let both go, and talk to the new guy. "Ok man, what do you need?" he asked once outside.

Bruce smiled when the man came out, standing off from the wall. "Wait one moment," he said, gesturing at the bat in the overhang. "Care for a walk down the street?" Bruce let his face fall into an expression of nothingness, a look of business. He walked down the street, not waiting for the man to follow. If he would be helpful, he would know to follow. "My name is Bruce. This here is Gallea. And we need some help." Bruce let his words sink in before continuing. "I'm a stranger to this game, and need some direction."

"This game as you call it Bruce, is a matter of life and death to us all." Caleb said, annoyed at the guys attitude. "You need direction, but I need information first. Are you for us or against us?" he asked. If he was truly good, he would see that they were on the side of good.

Bruce stopped, facing the man squarely. "You don't think I know that? I know perfectly well that this is life and death," he said, frustrated that the man would think him an idiot on that matter. "I don't know what side is good or bad! I don't know why or how I've been given this gift! All I know is that I've been given it and have had no direction, nothing to help me sift through the tangle." Bruce took a deep breath, looking up at the sky. "I'm sorry. I'm just frustrated is all. It's been like this for weeks. Every time I find someone, they shun me, ignore me like I don't matter or they just simply don't care."

Jen listened to the two guys talk, not eager to jump in on the conversation. She was content to listen and find out who this new guy was on the first place and what he was doing here. Tyerra walked up to the horse. You are one I have not met before, she commented. The white tiger stared at Gallea for a long moment with unblinking eyes. But I do not believe you are against us. Still, these are trecherous times. I am sure you and Bruce understand why we are cautious. I just found out that an old...aquaintance...of mine is somewhere nearby. She growled at the thought of Basilius. So we do not wish to take any unnecessary risks.

Tzuna stayed behind to watch the bat from a corner. "Caleb, have you determined his side yet?" she asked. "Not yet but close he replied.". Caleb stood there looking at Bruce trying to decide to tell him what he knew. "Gallea, I believe you are good, but can I please ask you to prove it to me?" he asked.

When the clerk asked him if he needed anything else he shook his head and went out side with Mendus right on his tail. He was about to turn a corner when he heard arguing and when he looked over saw the same animals from inside. He made an act of coughing and walked around the corner.

Bruce noticed the man leaving the store, saw how his eyes settled on the animals. He was also a bonded one. "I don't know how to prove ourselves to you," Bruce said to the man. 'Bruce, we are on their side. All you have to do is trust them.' Bruce nodded to Gallea, then looked at the man. "We are on your side. I would do whatever it is you ask me to to prove myself. I trust you to not prove our judgment wrong."

"That is all that was required of you, right now anyway." Caleb said. He also noticed the man that came out of the store and made a mental note track him down later. Caleb pulled Bruce aside and gave him a slip of paper with an address on it. "Meet us there at 5." he said.

Bruce nodded, desretely putting the slip of paper in his hand. "I'll be there at 4:45," he said, turning down the street and hailing a taxi. "Take me to the North Side Mall." The driver nodded and drove off quickly, weaving in and out of traffic.

He walked by the girl and guy who stayed as the other left. Mendus decided to go around so he wouldn't announce his presents. He nodded and quickly walked down the street.

Bruce walked through the mall with a purpose. He headed right to the store he wanted, not giving the slightest bit of attention to the vendors trying to sell him things. He entered the wide doors into the antiques shop, nodding at a few customers and clerks as he made his way to the back. He passed the counter and into the private quarters of the owner. Knocking softly, he waited for someone to answer. An old man opened the door from the other side, letting Bruce into the small room. "What can I do for you, Bruce?" the old man asked, taking a seat in an old chair surrounded by what looked like stacks of junk. "I need a weapon, sir," Bruce said. "I was wondering if you would be able to help me again." The old man sat for a moment, thinking. Without a word, he stood and walked to a rather small pile of unsorted things. Throwing a largevbundle at Bruce, the old man returned back to his seat. "Take that, son," he said. "I have no need of it anymore and it will serve you well." Bruce nodded and unwrapped the bundle to reveal a small, antique looking pistol, clothes, and a baton-sword. He smiled down at the weapons, then made them shrink to they could fit in his pocket easily. "Thank you, master." Bruce bowed to the old man, then exited the shop and the mall, heading for the address the man had given him.

Caleb ran quickly after the other boy that he had spotted while talking to Bruce. He could track him with his hightened senses, and when he finally caught up with him, he was pinned. "Well since you can't lurk anymore, mind telling me what you were doing eavesdropping on my friends and I back there." he asked threatingly.
