Bruce laughed, pinching Mica's butt as she got out of the spring. "That sounds like a plan," he said, standing and following her. He leaned against the bedpost, watching her. "But I like other. . .ideas as well. But maybe we should get you some practice."

Mica smiled as Bruce watched her. She pulled on the lightweight leather and placed her weapons within it. She strapped on the short swords then sat on the bed to pull on her boots. She smiled as she tilted her head. “Are you saying I need more practice with the other…ideas?”

Bruce shrugged his shoulders, then moved and dressed himself in plain jeans and a T-shirt. "You definitely don't need practice in bed," he said, sitting down beside her. "But I meant a little practice never harmed anyone. And that applies to everything."

Mica looked at Bruce as he sat beside her. “That is what you will wear to hunt shadows?” She shook her head softly, kissed him quickly and rose. She cut the portal within the air and waited for him. “Love, I will be taking you into the border of the shadow lands. Please at least take your sword.” She looked at him, concern in her eyes then told him. “This isn’t just practice my darling. I am hoping to get close to one of his agents. If we can take him we can learn more of the Dark Lords plans. It has been a long while since they have made a move. No communication of any sort. I plan to shake things up a bit.”

Bruce smiled warmly at Mica and her concern for him. With a nod of his head, he stood and his sword floated to him. He belted it at his side and moved to her side. "Better?" he asked, putting his hand around her waist. "Armor will only slow me if I truly am in trouble."

Mica nodded her head in understanding. “Yes, better.” She told him as she moved through the portal and stepped out into the shadow lands. She cast out her mind before exiting, sensing for any threat near and satisfied, stepped into the heavily wooded area. She looked up into the distance the large dark mountain stood menacing even across the vast space of woods separating them. She turned to glance back at Bruce a look of strength and determination in her eyes. Slowly her feet began to move across the terrain, her body shrouded within the safety of the dense brush as she moved effortlessly throughout. They traveled in silence for what seemed hours. Only brief looks and thoughts exchanged between them. Finally she came upon her quarry. A slight smile lit across her lips as she moved with stealth and quiet grace. The shadows were on the move toward the mountain. She watched for her opening, waiting patiently for the stragglers that would fall behind confident that no threat loomed near. Mica loved this part of the hunt. The familiar surge of adrenaline caused her heart to race as her muscles ached to be let loose into the action of battle.

Bruce followed Mica's movements closely. He was not a fighter. He was a farmer. In this realm, she was the wiser in terms of strategy. He could feel her body tensing, ready for a fight. He felt his own body respond to hers. He crouched silently beside her, his presence barely even noticeable in the dark shadows.

Mica smiled as finally two shadow warriors fell behind the group. She motioned to Bruce as she silently crept up behind one of them, grabbing him from behind. Mica quickly snapped his neck in one fluid, quiet movement and drug him back into the bushes. She took his long cloak wrapping it around her and pulled the dark hood over her head then waited for Bruce to do the same.
