"My desires are to make those around me happy and protected. Tzuna looks out for me, as well as Mica. I have the most passion for helping those around me, I always have really." he said. He didn't understand why he could tell a stranger all this, but for some reason if felt right.

“That is truly noble Caleb. You are truly a unique man. I feel…blessed to have crossed your path this day.” Eavan smiled softly then turned to move toward the kitchen. “Would you like something more to drink?”

"Just a glass of water would be nice." he said, watching as she left the room. She was a very beautiful woman, and maybe would be more for him later on, if she proved to be an ally.

Eavan smiled. “Of course.” She told him as she went to the kitchen to get the water for him. She brought it back and handed it to him as she twisted the cap on the bottle of beer she brought herself. “You sure I can’t interest you in anything else besides water?”

"Ok, well since your having one I will too." he said. He didn't expect to see Eavan drink, but he liked the thought of it. It wasn't everyday that a pretty woman would just pop a top with him.

Eavan smiled as she reached behind her, bringing forth the extra bottle. “I thought you might.” She told him smiling softly. She held it to him and moved to the back porch. “Come sit with me?” she asked him as she walked out to the gliding bench. She sat down and rocked it slowly as she looked up at the stars.

'Yes mam." he said smiling. He followed her to the back porch and sat down on the bench with Eavan. "So what's your dream?" he asked her. He felt there was something going on behind his back and he was sure going to find out what and why.

Eavan looked at Caleb as a small smile crept across her lips. “My dream? I don’t know. I don’t look ahead very far.” She leaned her head back against the swing looking up at the stars. “What’s your dream Caleb?”

"My dream is a world that in which no one has to worry or live in fear. I want my friends to live happy, fufilling lives, with whoever they choose." Caleb said. He didn't think that he was going to survive the war, so he didn't mention anything of him.

Eavan looked at Caleb, sensing him holding back something. She thought about questioning him more but something inside her told her not to pry yet. “That is a wonderful dream Caleb.” She told him softly. She had longed for the same thing but because of her heritage…she knew that was not to be in her future.

"What about you? I now nothing of where you come from or what you aspire to be, please tell me your past and what you want for you future." he said, looking stright past her eyes into her heart and soul.

Eavan felt the depth of his stare and knew what he was doing. "How much do you want to know?" she asked as looked back deeply into his eyes. "You may be sorry you asked such a pointed question because you will not like my answer." Eavan moved closer to him. She looked him square in the eye as she spoke. "I am the adopted daughter of the Dark Lord." she told him point blank. Her face held still and expressionless as she watched his reaction.

This confirmed Caleb suspions, so it wasn't very suprising, although he didn't expect her to say it so easily. "Go on." he said.

Eavan shrugged her shoulders as she looked at Caleb. “What more is there to say?” She continued to watch him as she tried to size up his reaction. He was hard for her to read. His gaze continued upon her unwavering as she told him who she was and this seemed odd to her. “It does not seem to surprise you to find that I am daughter to your greatest enemy. Does it not change things now?” She laid her head back on the glider as she rocked it gently. Her eyes held him as she spoke. “I will not lie to you. Ask me whatever you wish.”
