"Let the spirits of the Earth show themselves." the ancient voice called. Slowly four spirits began to show themselves each coming from a different enviroment. "Fire is present" an old baboon said. "Earth is present." a mother grizzly growled. "Water is present" an ancient turtle said, "Air is present." an old Barn Owl screeched. "Spirit is present. Now let us begin." the ancient man said, taking the form of an Eagle. "The war has begun again, and we all know what has happend because of it." the eagle began. All the animals looked at each other, looks of worry and despair. These were suvivors of the first war, and they weren't truly suvivors, fore their human partners had died in the fighting, so in esscense part of them were gone to. They all looked ancient, and were poorly taken care of, all except the Eagle. The Shawman had a special gift, he could turn into any animal at anytime, but his favorite was the Eagle. "You all know what we must do." Fire said. They all nodded in agreement, using their powers to summon all the bonded animals to share in the wisdom and loss that they themselves have suffered.

Tyerra awoke in the material world and noticed Jen sleeping soundly. Tyerra heard the summons and knew she need to go, though she was not thrilled to leave Jen behind. Be safe, young one, she told the sleeping girl, I shall return soon. With that, she turned and opened the portal to the spirit world and made her way to the High Counsel.

Salgou felt the summon from the others into the spirit world very strongly. "Doug, I must go for a bit". Salgou said "What is the matter Salgou", Doug replied. "I have been summoned by the high counsel, as well as all the other spirit animals. I will tell you everything when I return, but for now I must leave you". And with that Salgou was sucked into the spirit portal. Salgou met Tyerra as they were both exiting the portal headed for the high counsel. "Hey Tyerra, I guess we are headed to the same place. I do hope that we make some progress here, I was waiting for them to call us".

Jenus slithered into the chamber quickly after being called. it was a short trip for him because he was already in the spirit world and the message travelled faster than it did to the other plane. Jenus entered the chamber and waited in his spot as the other spirits began to arrive.

Mendus awoke from his nap and went on his way to the summons.

Hermes was bickering with Archer about their training when he heard the summon. There is a point to it! Just jump up and see if you can pull that apple off the tree!Hermes instructed. "What's the point?! It's 15 feet above me! It's impossible!"
Hermes paused in his retort when he heard the call. "Hermes? What is it?" Archer asked, when he realized Hermes wasn't paying attention. I must go. Practice until I return. The point is to see if you can fly...so just do it. Hermes told Archer before flying off. Archer stared at the apple. "If I can fly?" His eyes widened as he grasped the concept.
Flying with incredible speed, Hermes entered the chambers where the Ancient Ones were gathered. Landing on a post, he bowed his head in respect and awaited their instructions and guidance.

Tyerra gave her respects to the Elders as she and Saglou entered. Settling down, she looked curiously around, seeing everyone being summoned. "If I may be so bold as to ask, sirs, why have we been called? Our partners will need us soon, if not now."

"Yes why mighty lords," Mendus said in his deep voice. Please excuse me for my bluntness but I need to train my partner.

The spirits were growing impatient with the the lack of respect they were being shown. "Do you not think we can't see what's going to happen?" they said as one. "We survived the first war and are not to be taken lightly, even if we look manged." they also said. "We just wanted to see what our forces looked like" Spirit said. "And it doesn't look promising." Fire retorted. No one in the chamber was brave enough to speak up to the baboon, so the comment stood. "Where are the rest of the animals, we know there are more." Earth said in a growl.
************************************************************************** Tzuna ran hard, hoping that she wasn't late for the meeting. "What happened?" she asked when she arrived.

Tyerra turned to Tzuna when she came in. "You haven't missed much," she told her, "Just a lecture in lack of respect." She turned back to the Elders. "My apologies, sirs. I did not mean to come off as rude. I am just anxious to get back to my partner. I do not like to leave her alone."

OOC: Hermes was respectful...lol.
Hermes listened intently to the Spirits. He too, knew the pains of the first war....he remembered the endless battles when he was a young hatchling. "Many have bonded, but to which side, this I know not." Hermes responded, his eyes watching the Spirits.

Salgou sat quietly while this fussing was going on. He finally could keep his silence no more. "Friends, can't you see that we have been summoned for a very important reason. Our council would not have summoned us were it not important for us to be here. Why must we be so disrespectful, training can wait. Right now we must access what needs to be done and fussing will get us nowhere. Dear sirs, I apologize for the disrespect that has been shown thus far. I can only hope that it has ended, please tell us everything that you know. It would greatly help us in taking a step in the right direction instead of two steps back." As for the others who have not bonded, I do not know. I do know that we need to take some sort of steps in helping our spirit animals bond with their respective persons. Is there anything possible that can be done about this? He asked in eager anitcipation. After Salgou said this he sat quietly as he hoped that he had not offended anyone.

Kyra walked into the meeting of the High Council with her head held high. She had heard everything that was said and her anger flashed within her eyes. “I am here!” she said, her fierce gaze locked with the baboons. “Doesn’t look promising? Is that what you said?” She walked slowly facing each of them. “I have remained behind in the material world while you hide here. I have fought beside you since the beginning of time until my human half was born into the material world. You speak of losses. Mica also has suffered those losses. Her parents, as well as her ancestors for centuries have fought bravely under our mantle and you would disrespect them?” She looked at the Shaman. “I bonded with her at conception, joined with her at birth and lived beside her while her people, your people trained her for what would one day be asked of her. I see promise in her. She has battled the evil in the material world even after loosing her parents. She has done so because it was her duty. Her birthright. We have waited long for the Huntress to be reborn into the Material world. These people that you disrespect with your words have become family to each other. All heeding the call. They are her family now as well. I will not listen to your disrespect of them. I will not tolerate your disrespect of Mica, the Huntress! Yes the Huntress has been reborn as has the Hunter. They must find each other in their own time and when they do....we shall be unstoppable! Just as the prophecy has said."
Kyra’s growl sounded like thunder and shook everything within the Spirit world in it’s intensity. Her rage flared within her. How dare they hold themselves better than those who answered their call. “Your arrogance toward this war and those who fight cost us dearly the first time. Rethink yourselves now or risk loosing this battle before it truly begins. I will bring her in now but I caution you…any sign of disrespect to her in the slightest and I will tear the spirit from within your form.”
Kyra touched Mica’s mind. “Little one? Come now.” Mica felt Kyra’s touch upon her mind. She wondered why she had not felt her bond with her but was happy to feel her again. She bowed her head in acknowledgement to Kyra. Rising from the fire of her meditation, she traced her finger lightly over the air in front of her and stepped through to where Kyra was. She placed her hand upon the great Panther’s head. She could feel the tension in the air.
Kyra could feel the power with Mica vibrating the chamber with its steady pulsing intensity. She turned Mica toward the counsel. “You seek one brave with the courage, will and power necessary to fight the evil? I present to you Mica, the Huntress. The others, Caleb, the Just; Jennifer the Merciful; Archer, the brave; Skot, the Wise; Doug, the Fierce and Vender, the Powerful are equal to her in their strength and bravery. There are others too new to the cause to recognize the call to the Council. Here is your hope! Our salvation!”
Kyra walked softly back to Mica and stood resolutely next to her. Her words of warning remained in her eyes as she stood guard over her. Mica bowed her head slightly, in respect, to each of the elders. “Merry meet.” She spoke to each. Then lifted her eyes to look upon them. The fires of her people danced within them. She touched Kyra through their connection. ‘Kyra what in the world is going on? I feel like I have just been thrown into the fire.’

Salgou sat quietly as he listened to the words that Kyra spoke. "She is right" He thought to himslef. With that he got up from his place and walked out of the high council. "I feel it is right to fetch Doug, I wasn't sure if he needed to come along or not. What was I thinking?! He is a part of me and I him, we should never depart! We should share everything. He is a very powerful being of whom I can privilidged to be with." Salgou soon returned with Doug at his right side as they entered.

OOC: Archer isn't at the meeting. "Enough of this folly." Hermes screeched, irritated by both the Council and Kyra's behavior. "Kyra, hold your peace. What you make in a powerful argument, you lack in respect. Is this the behavior you wish to demonstrate amongst us?" His black beady eyes turned towards the Council. "Have you, grand Council, forgotten that we share in your pain and fate? We have fought and bleed beside you; do not underestimate our wisdom. Our partners may appear lacking, but their hearts are valiant; in time, they will be as prominent and skilled as the Humans before them." His piercing gaze then assessed all before him. "Let us never forget the purpose of our fight, our duty. We must stand united or we will surely be scattered as ash is to the wind. These are dangerous times and we cannot afford to contend amongst one another now, for I fear, that we will be divided...and thus our downfall will be our own." He grew silent for a moment, knowing of Archer's apprehension in the whole matter, and feared that he may be the one that would cause the unbalance that Hermes' father spoke to him years ago. "Our humans are counting on us to guide and lead them." Hermes continued with a solemn voice. "The burden is upon us to protect them and if we fail...both worlds will be punished for our mistakes. We should not...no...we must not forget that we are all equals and bear the responsibility of protecting all." He spoke his peace as he thought about Archer, who was in the Material World. Hermes refused to bring him, out of his own protection and worry; the boy had yet to truly decide what side he was to fight for. True, he was on the side of good...but until when? His father had told him, before he had died, that he would bond with a human...a hunter, who would tip the balance to either side, and this worried him greatly.
