Mica smiled at Doug then took his hand within hers. “Let’s. I’m hungry. I’m tired. And…I need a bath.” She laughed softly as they made their way back to the cave in the forest.

Mica chuckled softly as she walked next to Doug. She laid her head on his shoulder. They arrived back at the cave and she checked on Caleb first thing. He was sleeping again but she could tell that he had been up while they were gone. The food they left him was gone and half of the drinking water left in the pail was gone. She turned to look at Doug as she gathered fresh clothes from her pack. “He’s sleeping again and I’m going to take a bath in the stream. Mica kissed Doug lightly on the cheek as she made her way to wash.

He smiled as she kissed him. "I will stay here and keep an eye on Caleb." He said as she walked to the stream.

Mica smiled. “Thanks love.” She told him as she went to the stream to bath. She washed quickly and returned to Doug in the cave. “Your turn if you wish love. I’ll watch Caleb.” She moved to the packs and took some food out to begin preparing the meal for the evening.

Mica stayed behind in the cave and prepared the evening meal. The smell of steak (what else) drifted out over the forest air. She threw on some beans, cooking them right in the can and pulled out a bottle of wine. Mica settled back against the rock wall and watched Caleb sleeping while she waited for Doug to return.

Caleb awoke to the aroma of cooking steaks. "Where's mine, better make it two." he said, crawling over to where Mica was cooking.

“Hey sleeping beauty! Already done. I figured you’d be hungry.” She got up and grabbed a cup of water for Caleb. “Drink this. Dinner will be ready in a jiff.”

Mica laughed. “Where do you think? He’s in the stream bathing. That is the cleanest man I think I’ve ever met.” She pulled two steaks from fire and placed some beans with them on a plate. She handed the plate to Caleb. “Eat up. You need to build your strength.”
