Doug was unphased by the shadow figures remarks. His head rushed with thoughts as he ran towards him. The figure was so much bigger than he was, and looked much stronger. "What if I die here, what if this is the end?" Doug thought as he ran. He didn't care anymore. He wasn't scared of the fight and welcomed it with open arms. Finally he came to the figure running wildly. "Come on freak!" Doug yelled as he began his attack.

The shadow dodged the blow and thrust the sword through Dougs defenses

Doug was amazed as the shadow figure easily fought through his defenses, cutting his arm before he was able to finally dodge any more damage. Doug flipped over the shadow landing behind him, holding his arm as he caught his breath. "I have to think of something else, he is too strong for me. I am going to have to out smart this guy." Doug thought to himself as he sized him up, looking for a weakness in this seemingly invincible shadow figure. Finally he saw a point of attack, something on the figure that looked vulnerable, on the right side of his arm. Doug began to run towards the figure again now, as fast as he could hoping the figure wouldn't catch on to his plan. He got about 2 feet from the figure before throwing his sword like a boomerang behind the figure. Using his body as a distraction, he hoped that the figure had not seen him do this.

The shadow jumped up ten feet into the air, and Mica emerged from behind him. The sword spun swiftly and suddenly there was the sound of a sword meeting flesh. Mica looked down and saw the steel hanging through her stomach.

Doug saw as Mica ermerged from behind the shadow figure when he jumped ten feet in the air. Suddenly he heard his sword spinning in the air and his eyes opened wide. "Mica watch out!" He cried as he tried to save her from being hit, but it was too late. Mica fell to the ground with blood oozing from her body as the sword was pertruded from her abdomen. He ran to her as fast as he could crying all the way. "Mica! Mica! No!!!"

The shadow laughed as he saw Mica be hit with the sword. He fell to the ground and brought his sword down through the back of Doug's neck. "DEAD!" he cried.

Doug screamed in agonizing pain as the sword was lodge into the back of his neck. Blood began to ooze from his neck as he fell to his knees, screaming profanities as he began to grow faint as his hands supported his body. He gasped and gasped for breath, every breath slowly bringing him closer to his demise. He finally began to faint the anger building in him as he saw Mica's body lying lifeless as the shadow figure laughed behind him not having a care in the world, only wanting to see death. "How.....Cough!.....How, can.....you be.....like this!....Cough....How can....you not care for life and....just...Cough!....slaughter everything....in....your way!! You....you....cannot.....be aloud to....Cough!....Live!!!" Doug finally said before bringing the sword that was protruded in Mica's stomach around and slicing the figure in half. He fell to the ground beside Mica as he watched the figure fall to the ground in two freshly cut pieces. A smirk crossed Doug's lips as he finally fainted with his hand in Mica's.

"PASS!" Earth screamed, running over to Doug and touching his neck. "Get up Cougar, you have passed this test." she said.

Doug got up quickly as Earth healed him searching frantically on the ground for Mica's body. "Mica! Mica!" He yelled. "I killed Mica! What have you done with her!" He screamed in anger.

"Hurt me?! How in the hell can you hurt me anymore than this D@mn trial did?! Why would you put me through something like?! I would never want to hurt Mica, I don't see how this accomplished anything." Doug said as the anger began to build within him. "This trial was Bull!!"

"Did you not see that I was devastated to have killed Mica, even when it was not actually her? And that my killing the shadow figure was not for you or the council, or our mission, but to revenge Mica. I love Mica and would do anything for her, even risk my own life. I would never hurt my friends for what "I believe". I believe in togetherness, love, friendship, companionship. All of this is the real key to accomplishing our goal, not betrayal and backstabbing! You can never stop love, it is stronger than anything you could ever throw at me....", Doug said with all of his heart. "So, what is the next trial?"

Doug was infuriated by what earth and the council had put him through. He couldn't believe that they would do something like that to get him to put the council and our mission above all things...including love. He went to a stream where he sat, waiting for what his next trial would be. "I am so bored." He said to himself as he skipped rocks on the water.
