Skot was sitting in bed one night saying good night to Jensu when Fire came exploding through his window and dragged Skot into a portal to the Spirit World. "Skot, since Kyra belives you are so wise, let's see you fly!" he said, throwing him into the air. Skot yelled in terror, but then he saw that there was an invisible floor holding him up. "To completely trust in those you know, a leap of faith through you must go." and with that, the baboon disappeared.

Skot looked around scared. He had no problems with heights but his greatest fear was falling. Skot carefully put his foot forward to find more solid nothing. Skot moved his weight. Where was he supposed to go? Was he supposed to leap to his death to prove himself? Skot carefully moved another step forward. Skot looked down to survey his situation but saw only clouds below him and the ground a far ways off. Skot tried to reach Jenus for help but his connection had been severed. He was in an impossible situation by himself.

Skot looked down at the ground far below again. Jump or fail. Skot took a step back and ran. He suddenly jumped in the air and.....

Fire was suprised when he actually jumped. Skot fell to the ground and would've hit it if something soft hadn't cushioned his fall. He looked up and saw that a huge eagle had saved him and was taking him higher and higher.

Skot had shut his eyes as he fell. His heart skipped a beat when he landed on the eagle. He opened his eyes and saw himself rising even higher than he had been before. The eagle was going so high it began to be difficult for Skot to breathe. Skot had to make a decision again. Face his fear a second time or die of suffocation. Skot valued his life to much and juped from the eagle, putting his faith in the evil monkey that he wouldn't die crashing into the ground far below.

Fire decided that Skot had fufilled his test and caught him in his grip. "Skot, I doubted you, but you have proven your courage to me know. One final question for you, What is Courage?" he asked.

Skot pondered for a minute. Thinking hard Skot slowly answered, "Courage is the act of defying yourself and your own instincts. It is braving the worst dangers for your friends and standing up for what you believe in. That is what I believe courage is." SKot looked up at the Baboon still holding him in the air, hoping he had answered right.
