Fire was running through the trees as fast as he could, seeing smoke in the distance. He knew Bruce would be there, and sure enough when he arrived Bruce was standing there watching the flames. Bruce turned to look and the baboon said, "Inside this building your spirit yearns, while everything around her slowly burns.". He jumped back into the trees before a reply could be said.

Bruce saw the baboon come from the woods, speak to him, then leave. Standing in a daze, Bruce looked from the building to the area around him, trying to decide what to do. Enter the building to save whatever his spirit yearns, or put out the fire. He was unsure what it was the baboon meant when he said, "inside your spirit yearns." He knew that inaction would only bring him failure on all fronts. Closing his eyes and concentrating, he searched the area with his mind. He felt the strength of Gallea fill his limbs, the speed a reality in his eyes, the agility evident in his limber arms and legs. Without another thought, he ran into the building, bursting through the doors to find Gallea trapped inside. Using a magic he did no know he had, he shattered the chains holding the spirit and led him out. He could see tracks on the ground he had not noticed before, felt a connection with someone he was still beginning to know. 'You are the Hunter,' Gallea said. Bruce nodded, then quickly began to put out the fires, moving steadily from flame to flame, extinguishing it.

Fire was amazed at how fast the man had achieved his goal. "He's the Hunter" Fire realized. With that, the whole woods caught fire. "Now you must fight your way out." he said to Bruce mentally.

Bruce frowned as the baboon set the entire forest ablaze, telling him to fight his way out. He was getting frustrated, but knew he had to find a way through this test otherwise...he didn't know what would happen if he failed. He took a step towards the fire, feeling its heat on his face and chest. He looked around him, trying to find something he could use to stop the enormous blaze. He smiled, a thought coming to him. He concentrated, feeling the power within him reach out into the flames, constricting the air around the fire. He stood there, using his power over air to choke the flames to death. Without air, the fire had no fuel and died down.

"Nice try Hunter, but I am Master Fire!" he screamed into his head and the flames burst forth larger and hotter than before.

Bruce frowned, trying to think of something he could do that would keep the flames gone. He needed to find the baboon. He ignored the flames, pushing them away as he neared. "Where are you?" he asked smiling. "Why don't you come out to play?" Bruce smiled when he found the monkey, stretching out with the air to engulf him in a torrent while he sucked the air from the fires, making them die out. "What do you want me to do? I've put out your flames! Do I need to do it for a third time?!?!"

"No, you need to figure out how to get the flames to stop!" the Baboon cried.

Bruce let the baboon go, releasing the air around him to return to normal. "Very well," he said, turning back to the now growing flames. 'Stop the flames, not put them out,' he thought. A smile crept to his lips as he reached out with the air, creating a funnel around the flames to channel them in a tight circle. He kept the air constantly moving, directing the flames where he wanted them to go. Suddenly, he realized he wasn't using the air any more to change the direction of the flames, but the flames themselves. He smiled even wider when he made the flames dance in the air, an intricate pattern of horses and birds flying around through the air.

Fire was amazed. "Maybe we can win with these two on our side. He's almost as powerful as she is." he thought, out loud he screamed, "Finish the trial and stop playing!"

Bruce smiled, stretching out with his mind. He could feel every detail of the forest, every rock and tree, every brush and plant, he could see their every molecule. Suddenly, he felt differently, he felt a connection to everything around him. He reached out to the trees, bending them away from the raging flame. He called to the rocks, piling them in a high circle around where he held the fire. The fire stormed inside its walled area as Bruce called the air seal off the top, containing them and stopping them from spreading or moving. "There," Bruce said, looking at the baboon. "Is it stopped now?" He was frustrated with the monkey, with the entire trial, though he was glad he learned of his new ability. He laughed in his mind, thinking it funny. He always wanted to have powers like the woman in X-Men, Doctor Gray, and now he did. "I AM the Hunter, and Hunter and Huntress will destroy the darkness!"

Taran frowned at the monkey, crossing his arms. "Another one, eh?" he asked, leaning against the tree. "So how many are there going to be? I mean, it's not like we have much time to waist." Bruce smiled, turning to look at Gallea, winking. The horse shook his head, Taran could hear him chuckling.
