Archer was laying under a tree for a nap when the baboon pounced on top of him. "Get up and follow, or your fate shall be sealed." he said before bounding away. Archer thought carefully, and had almost decided not to go, "Don't be a fool Archer, go now." Hermes shreiked. Archer got up fast and ran quickly after Fire. He came upon a dark forest, and the baboon pushed him in then jumped in after him. "No way to escape, no light shines through, if you don't get out, IT will come for you." he laughed as he said it. Just as the baboon bounded away, the trees closed in around Archer leaving him in complete darkness.

Archer snapped his head from side to side as he watched the trees dance and combine with one another. An uneasy frown formed on his lips as he watched the sun disappear above the dark and damp foliage.
Total and utter darkness eloped him as he heard the laughing baboon jump away. He tried to control his breathing, slightly afraid of what would come. He had no idea that he was in it for the trial of fire; one that would run too close to home. The air around him grew thin as the trees blocked the outside world. Blinking for a moment, Archer was able to sooth his panic and heighten his 5 senses. His vision, improved from Hermes' bond, allowed him to capture the shapes and shadows, although he still couldn't see clearly. Why couldn't I get a nocturnal animal... He grumbled. He relied mostly on his hearing, which was the best thing he had to defend against the darkness. His smell and touch would come in handy later, at the moment, he was more concerned on what was going to happen next.

Fire went over to a near by tree and changed form. He took the form of a large anaconda snake, and slowly slithered over to Archer. "Solve the riddle and live." he hissed.

Archer heard the snake come up behind him. He groaned when he learned he had to solve a riddle. He hated riddles...they were too complex...
Thinking back to what the baboon said, he figured that he had to find a way to get out or something would come after him. "Great...this doesn't remind me of a scary movie at all." He smirked at the snake before running off into the woods, hoping that he could find a way out. His vision improved as he ran, he figured it was because he was adjusting to the dark.
Breathing hard after a 15 minutes, Archer still found no way out of the endless trees. "This is pointless!" He yelled out to the darkness. He sat down against a tree and glanced up. "If I can't run out of here...maybe I can climb out."
Grunting, he grabbed a branch and began to climb up the tree.

The snake ran straight after Archer, and when he sat down, he knew he had his prey. He watched Archer climb the tree and laughed, thinking that the trees were his habitat, the boy stood no chance. The snake climbed up the tree, scales grating and knocked bark off. "Come play boy!" he hissed

Archer glanced down when he heard the bark below him scratch and break apart. Then he heard the hissing speech of the large anaconda. Struggling with his footing and with the tree branches, Archer feared that the snake would get him; he hated snakes! He hurried up the tree, knowing that it was a mistake; the snake had the advantage. Gripping onto a branch, he flipped himself upon it and steadied himself. Taking out his switchblade, which seemed pointless, Archer prepared for the snake. "Come and get me!" He shouted down at it, squinting in the dark to find it. This isn't a good idea...but I can't go back down...it's too far...my only options are going up or fighting...and I refuse to run anymore. He thought to himself.
