Doug was on the field training when Fire swung over to watch him swing his ax. "Good with a battle axe are we?" he asked chidingly. Before Doug could answer Fire swung off into the trees. Doug followed and came upon a huge mountain with many caves. "To earn our trust you must fight, the biggest fiend with all your might. In this fight your guide will be of no use, to win this fight let your fury loose." Fire stated. He swung into a near by tree as the ground rolled under the weight of some tremendous creature.

Doug looked at this tremendous four legged creature. It was huge in comparison to Doug, with two big eyes like a cats and scales running the length and width of it's body. Spikes running the length of its enormous tail. The creature was a slimy green color with saliva and drool falling from it's fangs that pertruded from it's oversized mouth. It's ears were hairy and hung down past it's large nose. Doug had never seen a creature like this before. Suddenly the creature slung it's ginormous tail in Dougs direction coming down with a force so mighty that it made the ground around him shake. "Wow, this is going to be tricky!" Doug said as he leaped out of the way and chopped off a portion of the monsters tail before landing on a nearby ledge on the mountain. The monster rammed it's body up against the mountain forcing Doug to fall to the ground as the monster began to swing it's tail at him again. Doug rolled over fast to avoid getting hit then jumped to his feet and drew his axe again. "Now, how do I go about defeating this creature, it is so large!"

Fire looked on with amusment as the boy jumped and dodged and actually landed a blow on this foul creature. "Either way, one of our menaces are going to be gone when this is done." he thought to himself.

Doug looked on with despair as the beast ran towards him full speed. Doug jump up high above the creature as he watched him run into the Mountain wall that was behind Doug. "Hmmm.....not a very bright creature." Doug thought to himself as he landed on the other side. Doug realized that this was a very strong beast, but that what he had in size and strength, he lacked in brains. Doug saw some very sturdy vine woods behind him capable, he thought, of subdoing anything into submission. "If I can just lure it into these vines then it should be stuck, then I can land my attack on this horrid creature." Doug thought to himself running through the senarios in his head. Doug began to taunt the creature calling it names and yelling at the top of his lunds as it began to draw ever closer to Doug as he backed up running almost at this point. Doug ran even faster now towards the vines "Oh man, I hope this works, or he is going to be ticked" doug thought to himself nervously.

The creature ran after the little pest that was yelling at him, and loosing a jet of flames burned everything in it's path to a crisp, including the woods surrounding them.

Doug saw as the beast burned everything around them with his flames. "This is just great" Doug thought to himself "What am I going to do now" He barrled over as it was about to hit him again. "I have got to do something, and do it fast" Doug thought to himself as he looked around for some kind of option. Doug noticed a bare spot on the beasts underbelly, shining a violet color. "That looks like a weak spot in this creatures armored skin!" Doug said to himself as he continued to dodge the creatures hits getting more tired by the second. It started towards him again, this time running full speed. "This is my chance!" Doug yelled as he ran towards the beast. At the last second Doug slid on the ground under its belly as it was about to devour him. He held his axe in the air as he tried to puncture the weak spot of the beast. Unfortunately he was only able to slice the place open to expose its heart before coming out on the other side. It looked very much in pain, roaring very loudly and running into things then finally regaining it's composure a little bit. "Darn, I was only able to weaken it, but now maybe I can fight it," Doug said as he looked at the beast in pain and swung his axe in the air, screaming a war cry at the top of his lungs.

Unknown to any other creature this one had the power to heal himself. It was gonna be a long process, but if it could protect it's heart, then he could devour his lunch.

Doug noticed as the beast began to attempt and heal himself...."This is just great!" Doug thought to himself. "How am I ever going to win her it can do that!" Doug thought for a second, "I have to do something, and fast before it can do any healing." Doug glanced at the rocks on the mountain, how precariously placed they were. "If I could lure the beast over to the mountain, I could make those rocks fall on it." Doug began to yell very loudly again, knowing that the beast wasn't bright enough to realize it was a trap even the second go around. The beast began to come at Doug towards the mountain, Doug jumped out of the way at the last instant as the Beast rammed the side of the mountain again, forcing the rocks to fall on it with great force, slamming it to the ground.

The beast screamed in agony with it's final breath. "Well young cougar, it seems there's more to you than I thought." Fire said applauding the young man's efforts. "You have passed your Trial of Fire" he said.

Doug leaped for joy at his accomplishment, watching the beast take lay reathing in pain, as it died. "Ok, what is next" Doug asked
