Lana hung on a climber's rope as she hovered over a glass squared case in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Her eyes reflected the Ancient Greek silver plate that laid protected in its case. The most expensive and renown piece in the museum was at her finger tips.
Hurrying up. You have 5 minutes before the security cameras reflect real time. Rafe whispered in her mind. He awaited her on top of the ceiling, making sure there was no unexpected visitors.
The moonlight shone through the roof windows as Lana flipped herself so she would be right in front of the glass. Her eyes flickered as she squinted at the piece. Her head tilted with intrigue as she studied the images on the plate: images of animals divided by a strike of lightening were embedded into the plate. On one side, the a group of animals were led by a massive eagle, while the other was led by a dark and sinister looking creature.
Carefully removing the glass panel, Lana balanced it with one hand as her other pulled out a silver plate. Okay, now gently switch the two items...and be quick... Rafe instructed. Shut up will ya? This hard enough without you badgering me. With her quick reflexes, she made the switch, hoping that the weight sensors wouldn't go off.
Lana sighed with relief as she placed the valuable plate into her pack. Carefully replacing the glass case, she used the electronic switch to pull herself up to the roof.
Leaving the museum behind, Lana stared out at the moon as she made her escape. A sly smile spread across her lips as she and Rafe made away with their new prize. They should have noticed the piece was missing now... Rafe glanced back as he heard the security alarm go off. Why did you have me steal this, Rafe? Its just a stupid plate... Lana told him as they got into their getaway car. This plate tells the history of the First War. Its a priceless artifact. I was so dumbfounded when I read it in the newspaper today...its a wonder that they were able to excavate it in Greece. This is living proof of our existence, and quite frankly, I want to keep it a secret. Wait, we're not gonna sell it? Lana asked as they drove to their hotel. Are you crazy? No, we're gonna keep it...maybe bury it somewhere...I dunno...I just don't want anyone else having it and getting curious on why an Ancient Greece masterpiece is reflecting an animal war. Fine, fine.... Lana mumbled.
*** The Next day.
Archer stood in the Metropolitan Museum and stared at the police caution tape in the Ancient Greek section of the museum. He sighed, knowing the reason why he came to New York was gone. He knew what he saw when he read the newspaper back in Miami. Hermes had told him the plate reflected the first animal spirit war and wanted to see it and admire it...now both of them were disappointed and annoyed. Someone stole it..someone who knows about the animal world. Hermes deduced as he rested on Archer's shoulder. "This sucks." Archer mumbled as he stared at the empty glass case across the room.
Archer wondered if anyone else noticed the plate in the media. He glanced around, looking for any suspicious figures...

Skot stumbled through the crowd in the museum. Looking for the plate he had seen in the paper. It had looked so familiar and he had to see it for himself. Skot looked around and saw the caution tape around a display. He saw Archer nearby as well, "Archer!" he called out.

Archer turned at the sound of his name. Looking though the crowd he saw a Skot. He gave him a nod. "Hey!" He waited for Skot to meet him. "You saw it in the paper too, eh?" He glanced at the caution tape. "Looks like we're a little too late for it." He frowned. "Hermes thinks a Spiritwalker (OOC:This is what I call those who bonded with animals...makes it easier to write. lol) stole it." He whispered.

"hey." Skot listened as Archer gave his explanation for where the plate was. "Makes sense. I have the ability to forsee events while drawing and I drew what was on that plate almost a week ago now. I thought it was referring to a battle to come, apparently it was different. We need to find that plate. It may hold clues for our future." Skot said solemnly.

Archer raised an eyebrow. "You can foresee events? How is that possible?" He looked at the glass container that once held the plate. "I agree, we need to find that plate soon..."
*** Lana sat in the hotel room, glancing at the silver plate. "I could fence this 100 mill easily...tell me why again that I am not going to do that?" Money isn't everything. He heard Lana stifle a laugh. I know it is hard for you to conceive the possibility that this piece is a historical piece of evidence of our worlds linking together. We need to keep it hidden, or else the human world would go into mayhem at the idea of ghastly animals coming to destroy them. Funny, I thought of you more like a puppy. Lana grinned as she examined the artifact. Lana, be serious. All right. Geez, you sure lost your sense of humor rather quickly. She looked closer at the images, curious of the familiarity of the animals. Besides the main images of the battle, there was other images that rounded the edges of the plate. She squinted at the images, rotating the plate to make sense of it. "Hey Rafe, what do these pictures mean?" Puzzled, Rafe hopped onto the bed and stared at the plate. I don't believe it He said after a moment. "What?" The Prophecy... He whispered and his yellow eyes turned to meet Lana's green ones.
OOC: hehe reminds me of Heroes...guess where the title of this thread came from? =p Oh, and i have no idea what the prophecy is yet...so yeah...feel free to make interpretations! lol.

"I honestly don't know." Skot replied. "I have always been able to do it. Sometimes on a large scale, sometimes on a small scale. But I forsaw the picture on that plate. I forsaw the attack on the twin towers a few years back too but noone listened until it actually happened. That plate may hold more answers. I thoguht I saw something on the edge of the plate but I couldn't make it out in the picture in the paper. Do you think the police here have any clues for us?"

Archer studied Skot's face for a moment, unsure whether or not to believe him. I believe him. He speaks the truth. We all possess special talents...yours is yet to be discovered. Hermes added, feeling Archer's curiosity on the matter. "I dunno. They're still puzzled about how the person got in." He shrugged. "and I doubt they'll just let us look at things, however..." a sly look appeared on his face, "I can see if I can find anything out." He moved his head sideways, allowing his ear to be pointed at the talking officers and investigator. Concentrating, he focused his hearing onto the cops.
"Its puzzling, Detective...I don't know how this guy got in...the cameras were rewired and looped to play for 10 minutes. Whoever this person is, he was able to get into the museum and steal the artifact under 10 minutes. I can't believe our security wasn't enough..." "Tell that to the Chief and curator...they're as annoyed and puzzled as we are. I want this guy found...you got me? I don't care how you do this, but the Mayor wants this wrapped up soon."
Archer slowly decreased the volume of his hearing until it was back to normal. He addressed Skot again. "It looks like they're still dumbfounded...but they think its a professional hit." He pondered for a moment. "Thieves are likely to know about each other's jobs right?" He looked at Skot. "I know a thief that may know who might have pulled this job." Archer whispered, not wanting anyone to know about Lana. "She and I know each other from a ways back...don't ask how...I think you might remember her too...remember when I threw that BBQ at my place a few months back (OOC:I'm assuming you were there)? She was the one who arrived and crashed the place. I found out she was a thief....she may know something."

Skot nodded. "Sounds as good of a lead as any. Can you get a hold of her easily?" Skot looked around. As Skot looked, Jenus slithered to the case and looked to see if he could smell anything. He came back to skot, "There is a smell there. It seems familiar but I can't place it yet. It is human though and has a slight scent of a canine."

"I think so. She left me a number, I just hope she hasn't changed it." He took out his cell phone. Once Jenus came back, Archer raised an eyebrow. "Human and Canine?" Could it be coincidence? "I know a couple of spiritwalkers that have that...and one that is a widely known thief." He groaned. "It may be Lana. I'll call her and see how she responds to the theft. If this works out, we may be able to see her and you can make sure its the same scent." He told Jenus.

Doug walked up the stairs and down the hall to his hotel room. (He and Salgou were taking a little vacation from everything to just relax). "I know, it's weird right?" Doug asked Salgou as people walked by wondering who in the world he was talking to. "I mean, how could anyone get past all of the security and steal that precious plate. We were planning on checking it out and someone ruined it for us Salgou." "I know Doug, but think, if someone were to find out about us, it could be the end of what we aim to do all together. I don't know who took it, but I feel as if whoever it was did it for the betterment of the spirit world."
OOC: I am assuming Lana and I are in the same hotel lol, where she can here me.

OOC: You may assume that. lol
Lana squinted as she tried to follow the images on the plate. A prophecy? What are you talking about? Well, I'm not quite sure to be honest, but there's an ancient prophecy that has been passed down from generation to generation in the spirit world. Not many understand or know the complete story.[/i[ He nuzzled the tip of the plate. This is the most complete I've seen it, and yet, I can't decipher it. I believe you may need a key to decipher it, that's why the images don't make much sense. "What do you know of the Prophecy?" Rafe continued to stare at the plate. "Only that its a story of two people: a man and a woman. They were bonded with their animals and with each other. I recall that they had to make a choice. What choice? Lana was now intrigued as she placed the plate away and hid it in a bulletproof suitcase. She took the case and locked it with an eye scan. Rafe looked at her carefully. "You can never be too sure." She told him, "anyways, continue." They had to choose which side of the war to fight for. They were extremely powerful together and a part, though not at strong. Each side tried to entice and plead their cause, hoping to gain powerful allies. "What happened?" No one really knows. Some speculate that they were torn by both sides and thus fight against each other to the death. Others believed that they joined one side, but their powers couldn't be controlled, and thus they perished by their own hands. Rafe shrugged. However, we know before they disappeared they vowed to return through an ancient spirit bloodline and that their destinies will be sealed with the earth. "What does that mean?" I really don't know. But if we can find that decipher key, I bet we can find out! Rafe's eyes shone with excitement. "yeah." Lana replied quietly, wondering who the couple was. It was then her door knocked. "Who is it?" Lana called out. "Room service." "FINALLY! I'm starving!" Lana and Rafe exclaimed. Lana hurried to open the door. As she did she spotted Doug, who she recalled seeing at Archer's BBQ a few months back. "here ya go, Ms. Verity." The bell hop said as he pushed the food cart in. "Thanks," Lana said, hoping that Doug wouldn't see her...

As the door opened for room service, Doug caught a glimpse of Lana out of the corner of his eye. He remembered seeing her at Archers BBQ. "Should I say anything?" He asked Salgou. "I don't know, something is up with her, I can feel it, I also feel a bond spirit." Salgou said. They walked on towards their room and when they got inside Salgou said "We should follow her, when she goes somewhere. I think she has a bond spirit."and with that they waited.

Lana hurried back into the room. She knew that Doug saw her and went over to get the bell hop out as soon as possible. "Will that be all, Ms. Verity?" He asked. "No. I'm great. Thanks." She gave a fake smile and ushered him out. "Thank you!" She gave him a 50 so he would leave her alone. "WOW! Thanks!" "No problem. If you make sure no one else bothers me, I'll give you a C-note!" "Oh. Absolutely!" The bell hop said and smiled at his new crisp bill as he exited.
Rafe lifted his head from the food that was brought in and stared at Lana. What's up with you? I spotted Doug...and I know he spotted me. Are you sure? Yeah..and his animal spirit..so yeah...I'm positive. This could complicate things... You're telling me. Rafe thought for a moment. We'll leave tonight... Doubtful...with all the commotion I made at the Museum, there will be random search sweeps. A different hotel then? Lana nodded. "And maybe we should mail it." Ok. We'll leave tonight then...after dinner. Rafe smacked his lips and nuzzled the silver platter's hood off so he could munch on his steak. Mmm...rare...they did get it right! His jaws clenched on the edge to gnaw it.

"I don't know, something wasn't right with her" Doug said, "She was up to something," and they both wanted to figure out what. "Salgou you think we can try that new trick we learned?" Salgou nodded with excitement as they tried it out for the first time in the human world. Doug and Salgou had to concentrate all of their energy into one complex sphere of which they merged and walked through together, this was a sort of cloaking device that allowed then to go anywhere unseen for long periods of time. "Great!" Doug said "It worked, now when we see them leave, we must follow them". Salgou said as they uncloaked and demerged.

Caleb saw Skot and Archer over the police tape and ran to them. "What's up guys?" he asked, coming from behind the tape. "The cops know nothing, but I know it was a Spiritwalker (Thanks Max, that is easier) who stole it. Archer I'm pretty sure it was Lana, or a new person enitrely, me and her are the only one's with Canine Spirits." he explained.
