Mica looked at Earth as she spoke. “I do understand more now though I still do not agree with the trials. You still haven’t told me what happened to your human.” Mica would not let loose until she knew everything.

"My human? My partner? She died in labor, she was Rhiannon the Huntress." Earth said with tears swimming in her eyes. "I never even got to see the girl." she said.

Mica looked at Earth, seeing a new side to this spirit guide. “I’m sorry.” She said as she lowered her eyes. Her heart grew heavy as she sat on the ground. “Earth I am not sure how these trials can prove anything.” She watched, waiting for the mighty grizzly’s response. “I know my weaknesses and my strengths. You know my heart. Why do you persist with this foolishness?”

"There are two reasons. First, to make sure that you will never betray us or one another like what happened so long ago, and Second, you can think of this as intense training. Mind, Body, and Spirit all have to become one for us to win, and these really help." Earth explained.

"Very well Earth. We better get on with it then because as interesting as our talk has been I think we better get through this foolishness before I loose all patience." Mica rose to stand watching the bear as she did. "What next?"

Mica called out to Earth. "Earth. Thank you for trying to explain. If the council would consider talking with us instead of down at us and putting us on trial for the sins of those past...well perhaps we could get moving on this war and bring our worlds back into balance and live somewhat of a normal life." She watched the great grizzly as she spoke softly. "I would love to realize the brief joy that Rhiannon had if only for a moment." Her eyes looked down to the ground as she sighed heavily.

"We will always be tried for past sins and crimes, that is the way of life. As far as the council goes, you have the respect of everyone on there, you just can't know that yet." she said as a wisp of a thought.

Mica nodded her head slightly to Earth. “I have much to think about Earth. Thank you for your lessons.” Mica turned and began to walk through the forest until she came upon a slowly running stream. She sat down on the ground as she stared into the softly churning water. Her thoughts embraced all that she had learned from Earth and what she had learned of the others.
