Mica smiled as she waited for Bruce. “I love cows and horses. Dogs and I do not get along well though. Never could figure out why.” She said grinning.

Bruce grinned at Mica, winking. "Bark, bark," he said with a chuckle as he walked from the house, grabbing his work gloves from the counter as he did. He walked casually through the pastures to the broken fence, looking around to see if it was the only portion broken. "Alright. I'll be right back. Looks like I'm going to need twenty feet of fencing, and. . . four poles."

Mica looked around and grabbed another pair of gloves and followed Bruce to the broken fence. She smiled at him as she watched him go to gather the supplies. She walked over to a fallen tree and sat down. She smiled as she watched the cows grazing lazily in the pasture.

Bruce returned to Mica and the broken fence in his pickup truck, the bed filled with the supplies. "Let's get started," he said, turning off the truck and opening the back tailgate. "And no using your powers to help you do this." He took a shovel and began to dig holes where the posts would go.

Mica grinned at him. “You’re the one who is quick to use his powers. I prefer to wait until the situation warrants it.” Mica grabbed the post hole digger from the bed of the truck and went where the next hole would be needed. She watched Bruce while she worked, the sweat forming on her brow but she liked it. His muscles bulged with the physical labor and she found herself smiling as her thoughts wandered. She finished her hole and saw that he had finished the rest. She grabbed the wire to fix the fence and handed it to him. "Tell me what you want me to do love."

Bruce thought for a second, looking around them. "You could take that end of the wire and nail it to the post on the end, the one that wasn't broke," he said, picking up his end of the wire and nailing it to the opposite end. Then, taking the posts he had grabbed from the barn, he placed them each in a hole they had dug, and filled it in to support them, making sure they were not wobbly or could move too freely. After he had done this, he nailed the wire to the top of each post. "There, now all we have to do is repeat with the wire until the fence is up. So, it'll probably be about another four wires or so."

Mica smiled as she worked beside Bruce. There was a certain satisfaction to be gained by working with your hands and Mica reveled in the feel. She did as he directed and soon the break in the fence was repaired. She wiped her forehead as she moved to stand next to Bruce surveying the newly strung fence. “That,” she said as she drew a deep breath, “was fun. What’s next?”

Bruce smiled at Mica, putting his gloves in his back pocket and moving to the truck. "You ever drive a tractor?" he asked, hopping in and turning the ignition.

Mica shook her head as she followed Bruce and got into the truck. “No,” she said as she grinned widely. “you ever driven an airboat?” She moved close to Bruce on the seat as she laughed softly. She gave him a sidelong glance as she said, “I’m game though.”

Bruce smiled, driving the truck back to the barn. "Good," he said as he pulled his hand from between her legs and exited the truck. "Because I need you to drive the CAT through the gate in the pasture to the fields out back. You're gonna be digging some trenches, my lady." He winked at her as he picked up a shovel and filled the bucket of the small tractor with soil nutrient spread.

Mica shrugged her shoulders as she followed Bruce from the truck. “How hard can it be? I learn fast and am very…adaptable to my situation.” She grinned at him as she wrinkled her nose playfully. “You know you are very, very sexy when you sweat like that.”

Bruce shrugged, calling Gallea to him and mounting the stalion. "I also hear that sweat makes men. . . slippery under the delicate touch of a woman," he said with a wink and smile, heading out to the pasture with a shovel in his hand and a gun in the other.

Mica climbed up on the CAT and sat frowning for a minute. Once she had looked everything over, a smile spread on her lips. She turned over the engine, engaged the lever to lift the bucket and pushed the clutch as she moved the CAT into gear. Her squeals lifted over the noise of the engine as her laughter erupted. Mica turned toward the gate and followed Bruce out into the pasture.

Bruce laughed at Mica as she started up the tractor, her laughter carrying over to him on the breeze. Once she was through the gate, he closed it and continued deeper into the fields. He called her to stop and dismounted Gallea, giving the large steed a pat on the neck as he walked by. Once next to the CAT, he placed his gun on the side, in an easy to reach location, and moved to the bucket. "Okay, what we have to do now is use the backhoe on the CAT to dig narrow trenches. Once those are down, we come back over them with this soil fertilizer. After the fertilizer is down, we fill 'em back up."

Mica nodded and did as Bruce directed. It was actually fun. She enjoyed working outside with him and the work seemed to go fast. As she finished covering the last trench she looked at him. “Alright. Now what?”
