Mica smiled at him as she walked over to him. "You do huh? Better than what I was wearing earlier?" She reached out to take his hand as she looked coyly at him.

Bruce smiled, taking her hand as a soft redness appeared on his cheeks. "Technically, yes," he said. "Cause you weren't wearing anything." He winked at her, leading her outside and into the fields around the house, all of them empty since the change of season took place.

Mica smiled as she followed him into the fields. She stopped near a tall pine. Her face raised to the sun, she felt the warmth of its rays as a breeze softly touched her hair, carrying it upon its back as it blew gently around her. She turned to face Bruce, her hand brushing fallen strands from her face. "Let's see what we can do shall we?"

Bruce smiled coyly at her, taking a step closer. "I think I already know what I can do," he said, winking at her then looking around. "But outside of that context, we probably should find out. So, how do we start?"

Mica smiled at him then shrugged her shoulders. "I really have no idea. This is totally new territory for me too." She looked around then wondered. "Let's try something. Do you have a bow?"

Bruce smiled at her. "Ya," he said. "It's under my bed." He went to go get it, but something told him to stop. Gallea appeared in front of him, looking him in the eyes. "Think, Bruce," he said. "Get the bow without leaving that spot." Bruce frowned, looking at Mica. When his eyes met her, something within him awoke. He closed his eyes, focusing on his need to get the bow. He could feel it in his hand, could feel it's weight as if he were walking with it from his room outside. He opened his eyes to see it floating across the field, the quiver close behind. It dropped into his hands, bringing a shocked smile to his face.

Mica smiled as she saw the bow and quiver answer his summons. She looked into his eyes. "Okay. Now nock an arrow and shoot the target." She smiled at him and walked away across the field. She turned to face him and took a hedgeapple from the ground. She placed it the crook of her neck, resting on her shoulder. She closed her eyes as she felt for his mind. Something within her telling her he could hear her.
"Bruce...shoot the apple from my shoulder." She smiled softly as she waited for his shot.

Bruce nodded, taking a deep breath and knocking an arrow. He looked down the field, drawing the string back to his cheek and sighting down the shaft. He took a deep breath, concentrating on hitting the apple in its core, nothing else visible to him. As he let out his breath, he loosed the arrow, sending it cutting through the air. The arrow whistled, a blue haze around it, as it sailed through the air, striking the apple through the core and exiting the other side and impaling itself in the fence. The apple still sat on Mica's shoulder.

Mica drew a deep breath. The hedgeapple sitting in the crook of her neck, she let it out slowly as she saw the arrow loosed from his grasp. She smiled as it passed through the core of the apple, landing in the fence behind her. She touched his mind as she smiled. “Very good! Now we train together. Try to hit me as I stand. It is my turn to test these powers of ours.” She nodded at him to reassure him. From a distant hill, Kyra and Gallea stood, watching.

Bruce hesitated for a moment, then nodded. She knew what she was doing, and there was enough distance for her to get out of the way. He knocked another arrow, drawing the string back to his cheek. He took several deep breaths, steadying his hands. Closing his eyes, he saw Mica and the arrow moving towards her, but nothing else. He opened his eyes, taking another deep breath. Aiming down the shaft and looking with his left eye at Mica, he loosed the arrow, sending it flying through the air.

Mica held her eyes focused intently on Bruce. She watched as he nocked another arrow. She had no idea what she was doing. She was playing a hunch. A feeling. She watched as he pulled back the bowstring. She watched as he closed his eyes then opened them again. She could see the intensity in his eyes. Her focus returned to the arrow. She watched as it was loosed on its way to her. She saw it clearly in her mind as she slowed it in her mind’s eye. Her eyes closed, her attention still upon the arrow now moving slowly within her mind. Her hand raised as her head leaned to the side. She snatched the arrow from the air and looked at it within her hand. A smile came to her lips as she looked at Bruce.

Bruce sagged with relief. From his vantage point, he couldn't see the arrow slow, and didn't see her moving from its path. He smiled, seeing it in her eyes. He looked around, seeing some thick sticks on the ground. He picked up to of them and walked to her, handing her one. "Let's try these too," he said, gripping his, a smaller one, though still thick, and dropping into a defensive stance he learned from martial arts.

Mica smiled. She reached out and took the stick within her hand. She frowned slightly then shook her head at him. "Wait. If we are going to truly train and learn these won't do." She walked to her bike and untied a long pack. She pulled two swords with slightly curved blades and turned, tossing one to Bruce. "Take it easy on me. My sword skills are a little rusty." she told him with a soft laugh.

Bruce smiled at her, shaking his head. "If any of your other....skills show me what you can do, I don't think your sword skills will be weak," he said softly as he dropped into the stance again, one leg forward and spread evenly as he lifted the sword above his head, the point directed towards her stomach. "En Gard!"

Mica smiled as he spoke of her other…skills. She closed her eyes, her head bowed to the ground. Raising her head, she opened her eyes to look at Bruce. Her face held a serious expression as she drew the sword up to make ready. One leg forward, she spread her weight evenly as she mimicked his stance. A golden light flashed in her eyes. Her body moved forward as the sword came down, the sound of steel rang out across the farm as her blade found his. Kyra and Gallea watched from high atop a hill. Their eyes following the pair intently.
