Adrian smiled, "Then let us go!" Adrian drew the doorway with his hand and walked through, emerging on a dark street in New Orleans. It was dark there.

Ariadne smiled as they emerged on the darkened New Orleans street. She looked at Adrian. "I think I shall go to the French Quarter. Mardi Gras should be in full swing by now. So many vict...revellers to choose from." Her eyes narrowed as an evil gleen shone in them.

OOC: you guys moved already! lol. very well! I will follow! mwuahaha!
Archer walked inside the loud and overflowing night club. Escorted by one of the bouncers, he was lead to the VIP room of the Bassment. Slamming him into a seat, the bouncer stood next to him as Dante appeared. "Well, well, well, does my eyes decieve me? Or is Jason Archer really sitting before me?" Dante rubbed a ring on his finger as he sat opposite of Archer. "I was wondering where you might have been." He held up a finger and one of the body guards went to fetch him a drink. "You owe me some cars." His eyes darkened. Archer sat silently. "Did you already forget what I told you the last time you skipped out on me?" Dante nodded at the bouncer and at another bodyguard. They nodded in response and grabbed Archer by the neck. "I think you need another reminder, Archer...do it." Archer watched the guards edged towards him. Archer...are you sure this is the right thing? I know what I'm doing. Archer told Hermes as the bouncer motioned to pick him up.
Grabbing the bouncer's hand, Archer used it as leverage to elevate his body over the bouncer and kick him in the face. Stunned and bleeding in the nose, the bouncer's eyes flickered before he fell back unconscious. Not losing his momentum, Archer ran horizontally to the wall and gave a sucker punch to the bodyguard. Standing over the unconscious body, Archer glared at a shocked Dante. "Uh, Archer, you have to understand...I'm a business man." "Shut up, Dante, I didn't come here to kill you. I need information." "What do you want?" "Well, I know you don't like giving things for free, so I have an offer." "I'm listening." "Give me the information I want, and I'll make sure the cops don't know about your underground dealings." "I see...what do you want?" "Information about unusual characters that came into Miami perhaps last night or the day before." Dante folded his hands together. "Unusual characters? What do you mean?" "Stop fooling around. Just someone who seemed to bypass your guys with ease..." Dante's eyes flickered. "No one of that description entered...whoa!" Archer used his speed and grabbed Dante and slammed him against the wall. "Oh, right...well...uh...there's two people that did that....twins...boy and a girl..." Dante choked out. "I think its the twins you're looking for...creepy duo...I sent them off on a job...ack! some guy owes me money in New Orleans...I had them go after him. Rumor has it that he's in the French quarter...cough..." Archer slammed Dante again and let him slump to the ground. "Where did you station them?" "I didn't put them up anywhere...but I had a couple of my guys follow them...one called me...but they didn't come back...learned my lesson..." he heaved out. "Ack, here...the address...some abandon warehouse, near the alleyways in the district." He hobbled over to a desk, and handed him a slip of paper. Adjusting his tie, he breathed out. "I doubt they're there now. I have a timeline to follow." "Mention this to anyone, Dante...and I'll do more than just threaten to turn you into the cops." Archer mentioned before exiting. Dante heaved in and out before pressing the silent alarm after Archer left. Several guys ran in. "Kill him. Make him burn." Dante scuffed out.
*** Lana breathed in and out carefully as she laid silently in the airduct of the club. She watched everything that happened between Dante and Archer. She watched Archer with amazement and recollection. She heard Dante order Archer's death and hurried out of the air duct and into the main floor of the nightclub.
Outside, Archer maneuvered to his bike, but felt a hand on his shoulder, turning him around. He turned around and meet Lana's face. "We've gotta go. He's sent guys to kill ya." "What? How do you --" "No time to explain...we gotta move." Archer didn't have time to process Lana's reappearance, but hopped onto his bike and motioned for her to get on.
Revving his engine, Archer raced out of the area, with Hermes following above unnoticed and Rafe racing behind him. Lana! I'm gonna kill you for leaving me! Lana ignored Rafe as she pressed herself against Archer, whose heart fluttered from Lana's presence.
Using his right hand, Archer grabbed out his cell phone and called Doug. "Doug, listen to me, I think I found out who your serial killer is. Its two people...twins...a boy and a girl. They're headed to New Orleans...there's no chance that the family is alive now...we have to get moving to New Orleans and stop them. I'll be on the next flight as soon as I can. Meet me in the French quarter."
He sped to the airport, parked his bike, saddened slightly that he had to leave it. "Thanks, Lana, but this time, I go alone." "And leave you to take care of yourself? I don't think so. I'm going with you." "I'm not having this argument. This is too dangerous!" "I'm glad to see after all these years you still care." "You're not coming!" "Oh yes I am."
Without further arguing, for Archer didn't want to waste time, they purchased their tickets, and Archer and Lana went into a shock to see that both of them had animal spirits. "Well, that explains the movement in the night club." Lana told him as they sat in the airplane. They had their animals dismissed, making it easier for all of them; they would be summoned once again in New Orleans.

"What?!" Doug said as he headed toward Miami before going to the stilt house. "Twins, abnormal things going on, headed towards New Orleans!?" "Oh my gosh!" "Archer, we meed to meet now, I just had a confrontation with them. I just came from the french quarters in new orleans where I was with Mica. They have all read been there and they have Mica, and they are no ordinary killers, they are monsters. "This could be my biggest lead ever!" Doug thought to himself as he hung up the phone and turned the bike around and headed toward the french quarters in New Orleans again.

Archer tried his best to ignore Lana after they were thrown together. "You know, this reminds me of the good ole days when I had to bail you out of all the messes you made." "My mess?! If I remember, most of those incidents were CAUSED by you!" Lana laughed. "It was fun though, wasn't it?" Archer couldn't help but to smile. "It was..." They sat in silence until the plane landed. They got off and rented a car, despite Lana's attempts to steal a Saab, she almost got Archer to do it, but lucky for him, Hermes intervened and their animals were summoned. Driving an SUV, they made their way to the french quarters.
Looking around for Doug, Archer called him. "I'm here, on the corner between a shrimp restaurant and a voodoo shop..weird..." Archer told Doug. "Hey, Jace...look what I got!" Lana had wandered off and brought back some mardi gra masks. Archer groaned. "Hurry, Doug."

Doug entered into the French Quarters as he got off the phone with Archer. "Who was that girl I heard in the background?" Doug wondered to himself. Doug saw Archer wave his hands in the air between the resturaunt and the voo doo shop. He pulled the motor bike to the curb and got off as headed over to where Archer was. "Hey, bud, long time no see, how ya been?"

Archer hung up the phone, starting at the masks with ill disgust. "I'm not putting that on." "Come on, have some fun, will ya?" Lana tried to put the mask on him. "No." Archer tried to resist, but Lana was overbearing. They couldn't help but laugh as they struggled against each other. "It's ridiculous, come on, stop." "Stop whining! Where's your festive spirit?" She tried a final attempt and nearly succeeded, but Archer pulled back, causing her to falter forward. Archer caught her in his arms and they stared at each other in an intense gaze. Lana smirked and pulled the mask away as she leaned upwards to kiss Archer. Heart beating fast, Archer gulped silently as he was being overwhelmed by old feelings resurfacing. His eyes gazed passed Lana briefly and that was when he spotted, Doug, driving a way off. "Doug!" Archer pulled away, causing Lana to pull back with confusion. She stared at Doug with annoyance as Archer called him over. Clearing his throat, Archer smiled awkwardly, stealing glances at a dejected Lana. "Hey. Not bad, yourself?" He pressed his lips together he introduced Lana. "This is Lana. She and I know each other from a couple years back." Lana folded her arms as she watched the interaction between Archer and Doug, annoyed that Archer purposely avoided the kiss.

"Hi, it is nice to meet you Lana" Doug said. "Ok I am sorry to break up the catching up but we can do that later. Right now we have to get down to buisiness and we have to make it quick. Tell me what you know and I'll tell you what I know. We need to head down to the Stilt house I was talking to you about, there we will meet some friends." Doug caught a quick glance at this Lana character, she seemed very distraught for some reason. "Well, lets get moving." Doug said Hastily "Lets go to that resturaunt over there" he pointed to a coffee shop across the street.

Lana mumbled a "hey" to Doug. "Yeah, its better if we discuss this out of the open." Archer agreed and allowed Doug to lead them to the coffee shop.

Doug, Archer and Lana walked into the coffee shop and sat at a table far away from any nosey ears. "Ok, so what we know now is that our killers that have been terrorizing families and that just killed this family are the ones that were here and just attacked Mica and I and took Mica. They also have animal spirits and are extremely powerful and a dangereous threat to our cause. We must stop them to prevent any further murders from happening and that is why we need to go to the stilit house I told you about. Now tell me what you know and we will head there right away."

Lana leaned back in her chair, unaware of what she had gotten herself into. Blast my emotions! She thought to herself as she looked at Archer. She heard Doug mention Animal spirits. So...he's one too...I better play along, or they may think I know something. "Animal Spirits? What are those?" Lana made a puzzled look.
Archer glanced at her, trying to figure out the best way to explain. "Uh, they have animals that can do their bidding. They're very dangerous." He told her, trying not to expose the animal spirit world unless he had to.
Archer leaned forward, folding his arms onto the table as he turned his attention back to the matter at hand. "Right, it just doesn't make sense on how they can move from one state to another in seconds." He thought about Mica. "How long ago was she taken?" He thought about the information he got in Miami. "They're dangerous, that's for sure...and they've been hired by a man named Dante."
Lana's eyes flickered at the name, knowing that was her target...looks like that was over with...for now...
"Which reminds me, Lana." He turned to look at her. "How do you know those guys were after me at the club?" Lana shrugged. "I saw guys with guns heading after you. I saw you at the club and thought I should say hi...looks like I wasn't the only one." She lied. "Oh...well, since they've been hired by Dante, who's a large mobster by the way, they're more likely to cover their tracks more. And I fear more murders..."

Doug intently listened to all that Archer said. "Mica was taken yesterday, during my battle with that evil Ariadne. I don't know where she was taken, but that is enough talk for now, we must move now and head to the stilt house." Doug got up and motioned for them to leave.

Archer nodded. "All right. Lead the way. We'll take the car and follow you." Lana made a half smile and nodded as well. She was really now wondering what she gotten herself into, but she figured if the guy that hired her wanted to make Dante pay, why not tag along and ruin Dante's reputation before going after his vault?

"Ok lets go" Doug said as he hopped on Micas bike and they headed toward the stilt house.
They arrived at the house a few hours later parked there vehicles and proceeded up the steps. When they got to the top Doug knocked on the Door "Hello! Caleb, Jen, is anyone home! We have a problem, it's Mica!" Doug continued to knock, praying that someone was home.

Archer stood outside, his eyes glancing around the windows. "I didn't know that they were here too." He replied absentmindedly. "Hopefully they're home."
Lana remained silent, not know what to say. She only hoped that they get moving to hunt down these killers...she needed some activity to let herself loose. Just the idea of hitting something spread a smile to her lips.
Archer caught the smile. "Why are you so happy?" He raised an eyebrow. "No particular reason." Lana replied. Archer didn't seem to be convinced, but let the comment slide.
