"The sides that I'm talkin about are good and evil. The Dark Lord against us, the Spirit Walkers." he said, trying to explain. "We have fought this war for centuries, but the Dark Lord has grown in power, so we need all the allies we can get. I need to know that I can count on you no matter what." as he said this, he threw caution to the wind and kissed her lips, just soft enough to be able to pull away, but hard enough to show his true feelings.

Eavan listened as he explained about the war. She looked at him blankly, not remembering anything that he talked about. She felt herself being drawn in by her growing feelings for him. As Caleb kissed her, she pressed herself tighter to him, kissing him back. Eavan pulled back from the kiss to look deeply into his eyes. “I don’t know about this fight but I do know about you and how I feel. I will stand beside you.”

"No matter the cost. I've sworn to give my life for the people that I trust and protect, you don't have to do the same, but I give you fair warning, you won't be able to stop me if the time should come for it to happen." he said, a tear in his eye.

Eavan reached out to softly stroke Caleb’s cheek. “I will not interfere with you but do not ask me to stand idly by. I have no oath’s that I know. I only swear loyalty to you.”

"If I tell you to leave, then you'll leave, I'll make sure of it." he said, looking hard into her eyes. He didn't want anything to happen to her, now or in the future. "You must trust my judgement Eavan." he said.

Eavan nodded seeing the resolve within his eyes. “I do trust you Caleb. You are all that I know in this life.” She looked deeply into his eyes as she smiled softly. “You feel …right… somehow. Being with you feels right.”

Mica smiled as she looked into Doug's eyes. "That's fine love. I would like very much to lie within your arms and watch the stars."

Eavan looked back at Caleb. "I don't know." she said softly. "I don't know where to go from here. I don't have a place to go...at least not one I can remember." She shook her head softly. "As much as I am enjoying being with you I don't know where to go or what to do now."

Doug held her in his arms tight as they watched the stars together. It had been a long time since he had done this with anyone, and it was nice. Eventually he fell asleep and began to purr softly as he dreamt.

Mica smiled as she felt Doug's breathing steadily slow and knew that he was asleep. She closed her eyes as she lie wrapped within his arms. The smile staying on her lips as she drifted off the sleep under the brightly lit stars.

Eavan looked at Caleb as she breathed a sigh of relief. “Are you serious?” she asked. “I..but…it will be nice to have somewhere to go where I can feel safe but I can’t stay with you forever.” She frowned momentarily as a thought crossed her mind. “I feel something within you.” She told him as she tilted her head to one side. “You can read people? Is there anything you can do to find out more about me? What do you see when you look at me?”
