Mica ran laughing and pushing at Caleb. "I won!" she yelled as she pushed by him. "Just kidding Caleb you can have this one." she said in a softer voice as she tried to catch her breath. "I'll use mine." She went to her room and slipped into the warm water from the shower. The water felt good upon her skin. She stayed in the shower letting the gently pulsing water wash her cares away.

Doug laughed as he saw Mica and Caleb, tickeling each other and playing around. Suddenly the coke spewed all over them and Doug fell on the floor laughing his head off. "That is so funny!" He said as he regained his composure. He watched as they fussed and finally took a seat on the couch and dozed off as they went to go get showers.

Mica finished her shower and put on clean clothes. She walked back into the living room to see Doug dozing on the couch. She softly slapped at his legs. "Too early for sleeping Doug." She leaned down and softly kissed him. "Rise and shine." She sat back against the couch.

"Why do you always get the good shower?" he called after her. He slipped into the shower and got the coke off him. He came in to see Mica kiss Doug then step back. "What was that all about?" he asked mentally.

Mica jumped as Caleb touched her mind. She rose from the couch and walked out onto the terrace. 'What do you mean?' she asked innocently. Mica felt the soft blush on her cheeks. 'Why are you so concerned? He's a nice guy.'

"I don't understand what you're worried about Caleb. I haven't felt this way in a very long time. Not since..." she let the words trail off. She had felt this way once and he had been torn from her. She didn't even know if he was dead or alive. All she knew is that her heart had broken and it had taken her a long time to get past the loss she felt. She still wasn't over it but had at least dealt with it so that she could move on.
She wrapped her arms around Calebs. "I wish I could find a guy like you someday. You will make someone very happy."

"You will to Mic. I know that he hurt you before, that's why I'm saying to be careful now. Doug's a good guy, but just watch it ok?". He loved Mica like the sister he never had and didn't want anything ot happen to her. "Love you little sis, no matter what." he said

"Even though I spend almost every waking minute trying to figure out how to torment you?" She felt the smile spread on her face, then faded again. "Caleb. What do you think happened to him? I couldn't find a trace of him after the battle. It's like he was just erased from the face of the earth." She remembered those days after the battle vividly. If it hadn't been for Caleb she would have lost it completely. She searched for her love for months relentlessly. Caleb there with her every day. She was almost crazed during that time. He was the only thing that kept her grounded. "You know I love you right?" she asked the question with a calm in her voice.

"Of course I do Mic." he said. He thought back to trying to find the body, or scent or anything for her, but he couldn't, not even Tzuna or Kyra could. It was a mystery to all about the disappearence. "I don't know what happened Mica, I saw him then he was gone." he said.

She looked into Caleb's eyes. "You don't have to worry big brother. I vowed never to let anyone that close again. I will not feel that pain again ever." She looked out over the waves rolling up onto the shore. The tide was coming in.

Mica turned to Caleb. "Maybe one day." she said as she hugged him close to her. "What do you think of Doug? Since you're giving me all this philosophical advice."
