Eavan leaned closer to Caleb as she softly kissed his lips, her hand tenderly stroking his cheek. “Then would you help me to build a new life? A life with you?”

Eavan’s smile widened as her whole face lit with the happiness she felt inside. She moved forward, leaning her forehead against his as she closed her eyes. “Thank you Caleb. I don’t know what I would have done today without you.”

Eavan returned his kiss then pulled back slightly as her body began to shiver. She looked down and noticed they were still in the shallow water. “As much as I don’t want to move…I think I will catch my death if I don’t get warm and dry.”

Caleb had completely forgotten that they were in the water. "Let's get out of here and head back to the house." he said.

Eavan shook her head but rose slowly. The cold water had stiffened her muscles and she hadn’t realized it while she was so wrapped up in Caleb. Her muscle cramped and she almost fell back into the water. “Ow!” she cried out as the muscle in her calf seized.

Caleb reached over with enhanced reflexes and caught her easily. "You know, no matter where I go, women always seem to fall for me." he said, a twinkle in his eyes. He laid her down on the ground in a patch of soft grass. "Well while we defrost let's watch the sunset." he said.

Eavan laughed softly as Caleb caught her and laid her gently on the grass. “So,” she said with a playfulness in her voice, “there are many women falling for you in your life? Or do you just make it a habit of rescuing damsels in distress?” She chuckled softly as she laid back on her forearms, looking out over the horizon. The park was beautiful and peaceful. She closed her eyes as she spoke to him. “I think maybe you have some amnesia too. The sun is in its earliest stages of rising. Look how the dark of night is giving way to the first pink rays of morning.” She opened her eyes and turned her face toward him. She sat just watching him, a soft smile on her lips.

Eavan nestled close to him as she felt sleep beginning to tug at her. She yawned softly, quickly moving her hand to stifle it. “I think I need more coffee or a nice, soft bed.” She chuckled lightly.
